Nice! :foxaylove2:
From being a part of the best selling girl group of all time to one of the top selling females (solo acts) of all time.

I was also curious about Dreamgirls but never got to checkin, those are solid numbers there. Thanks for posting.

Wow. A Legendary Career!

:jonny4:

- 2 Albums w/ 20M units almost a decade apart as different entities.

- 2 BIG Albums for each entity above 16M units (4 Total).

Spoiler

In other news, I think The Lion King: The Gift will become her 4-esque grassroots success story of the 2020s. Between the SOLID music, its strategic placement at the beginning of the rise of global Afrobeats music, and the perception of Black Is King changing, that project is just too good to be thrown by the wayside. Can't wait for her to release physical copies one day and fill her future tours with its records.

DC now biggest girl group ever, edging ahead of the Spice Girls

Beyonce the biggest female artist since Mariah/Celine if you combine DC and her solo career (which I do because the public does too no shade to Kelly and Michele)

The article being a bit messy though :rip:

I don't put too much stock into cahrtmasters. But if this is to be beleived she should hit 100 million with this next release and a few years of recurrent streams. Faster if the album is a smash.

We'll see. Bey has a very solid career. She deserves her rest.

I wonder why the gp never fell for the hype, so many grammys, radio always playing even when the itunes charts showed demand for other artists, but still never went Diamond, she was everywhere, reminds me of a Pink, always there, but never reaching Adele, Mariah sky high level of dominance.

….Billboards female artist of the 2000’s decade (without including a girl group that she had back to back 10 million+ selling albums worldwide in)= “the GP never fell for the hype”.

She has one of the biggest overall careers for a female artist, ever, who sells out stadiums in multiple continents, yet, some loser who can’t even punctuate properly says “the GP never fell for the hype” :rip::rip::rip:

Their album sales for her are wrong, the most conservatives have IASF at 8.5M and Carlothebest from Ukmix have it at 9M. And Lem did at least 3.5M etc.

But really though, it's weird that despite not pushing her music after 4 (her albums took a huge dip), she still managed to do this and with just 6 albums, primarily RnB too.

What the hell are you even talking about? She was the top radio artist & top female artist of the decade and artist of the millennium.

Realize your own thoughts and feelings aren't what makes or breaks someone's career. The GP never fell for the hype? But her haters are always talking about how everyone kisses her ass and hypes her up all the time. :skull:

Ok, but she never reached Adele's or Maria, Celine level, she never went Diamond in pure sales back to back, one after another, and scoring smash hits at athe same time, I dont get it, why if she is the artist of the millenium why she never had half of that, she always seems to be working twice as hard to be half as good.

Also Whitney a black R&B singer went Diamond 3 times in pure sales.

When all is said and done, The Writings On The Wall (1999), I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008), Halo (2009), and Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) (2008) will be certified diamond. All have been hovering around that mark for years, but B hasn't gotten them recertified.

Crazy In Love (2003) is next up after that.

Don't you love that both storied careers will leave the game with a diamond plaque?

She has a very a good PR, her sales are decent but not espectacular.

Beyonce didn't go Diamond because when she started her solo career digital sales were taking off which drastically reduced album sales since people could instead cherry-pick the singles, as well as rampant piracy thanks to programs like LimeWire. Hardly anyone was going Diamond in the mid to late 2000s, I believe only Usher did in that whole period. Dangerously in Love still sold 5 million copies, and B'Day and I Am Sasha Fierce both sold over 3 million copies. All three were among the top sellers for their years. The ChartMasters formula attempts to equalize the way albums are viewed across different periods by assigning value based on the revenue created by each album, hence if a standard album costs $11.99, you calculate how many digital singles at $1.29 you need to reach that amount, and then divide by that much however many digital singles they sold that era. Same thing with streams, since you get paid a fraction of a cent per stream. The RIAA uses a very similar methodology for assigning certifications these days. Hits Daily Double and Billboard also use similar formulas now for their albums chart (hence "SEA", "TEA+SEA" and terms like that). In fact, on many occasions HDD has reported a number for an album that exactly matches what ChartMasters arrived at with their methodology, like Harry Styles's last album. So while you would need the label data to have the exact figures, we can be fairly certain that ChartMasters is pretty darn close.

At over 20M units and gaining rapidly thanks so strong recurrent streaming, I Am Sasha Fierce may not ever reach Whitney Bodyguard level, but it will be at Whitney Houston/Whitney (her first two albums) level within a decade thanks to streaming.

Also, Beyonce had pretty much non-stop smash hit singles since 2000 until 2009, from Say My Name to Halo, every other song she released with DC or solo was a #1 smash, so that argument you bring up is a bit ???? N/A. Unless you were living under a rock, you would've noticed the likes of Say My Name, Survivor, Crazy in Love, Single Ladies, Irreplaceable and Halo are among the iconic anthems of the 2000s decade. Certainly on the same level as many Mariah and Whitney hits.

She's sold over 300M records. You've been pushing this desperate lie for years on this forum. Stop boring everyone and try something else.
