Lol at this attempted drag coming 20 years too late :rip:

She's been making reggae and ska music since the early 90s, it's not like she's hopping on it for a quick trend or costume.

I need her to appropriate cholas again :jonnycat:

She puts ATE in appropriATE. And appropriation still not a thing.

Let her be whoever she wants to be. And yes when she gets messy like this the songs are always cute.

Y'know what, after her last atrocious songs, this one doesn't sound that bad by comparison.

At.this point,.leave.the girl alone and girls need to understand the difference between appreciation and appropriation. One, she may.benefit from it however, ahe is obviously not trying packaging it as her own. two, she is obviously inspired by the island of Jamaica, since this isn't her first time.tapping in dancehall and Jamaican culture. Three, she isn't making a mockery of it and is rather harmless.

Queen of appropriation! She looks great! I don't think I've met anybody off the internet that gives a **** about cultural appropriation (in this way) anyway. This is cultural appreciation. It's usually people that aren't part of whatever culture being offended for said culture. Any excuse to cancel someone.

oh please, gwen has decades of appreciation in her back catalogue to show that whatever socially questionable styling choices she might occasionally make are more than some quick little cash in

Most people don't know she had a racist Tumblr. I doubt Gwen even knows what Tumblr is :rip: She is in her 50s believe it or not

It's funny how  Gwen "stealing" japanese culture(?) is problematic but it's okay for the Harajuku girls to approriate white british victorian culture.

I thought we left this appropriation nonsense in the 10's were it belongs. Those edgy uneducated college students from back then should be fully grown up now.

WaiT. the song is a bop, lemme stream the full song. Thank you Gwen for appreciating cultures and making me aware of this song, good marketing promo :clap3:

I thought we moved past "cultural appropriation" accusations by now

anyways, Gwen has been doing Ska and Reggae influenced music since the 80s.... so...

She looks good. I still think the hair is questionable but the outfit is amazing.
