these are people who literally watch and hear war crimes being committed and take it to their graves apart from gossiping with one another. and we’re supposed to take their word ??

If they are text messages over a typical mobile carrier, they should still exist on the carrier’s servers.  If they are encrypted messages (not text) then it’s not possible to read them.
