I don’t know about that. Their comeback seems to have done well in Europe but it didn’t do much here and they don’t have that level of reverence in the US to overcome the heavy hitters. I don’t think they would have even been nominated if the general field awards still had 5 nominations instead of the expanded 10

I think they could take the opportunity to spread the wealth this year in the general field instead of letting any one person sweep. There are a few contenders that seem about equally strong.

i feel like she'll also benefit from being a cool indie Serious Artist choice, as opposed to everyone else who've had #1 hits (either recently or in the past as legacy acts).

I wouldn’t rule them out. Rather see them win than some of the nominees.

brandi works with a lot of people and several of her noms are for their projects:

country album - as producer

song of the year - as writer

country song - as writer

 

country song - as part of a group

country duo/group - as a featured artist

roots performance - as a featured artist

song of the year - as a collab on alicia's album

 

i'm sure all those artists she worked with, along with fans of those people, have a lot of respect for her artistry.

I just can't at Anitta getting in over Zach Bryan. Anitta may be a hard worker and she has a great personality but her music is garbage, no offense. Zach Bryan meanwhile is going to be one of the biggest stars in America this decade.

I love Adele, but I guess it would be better for everyone if Renaissance won AOTY. Otherwise I think Adele's still just as popular among the voters as before.
