Chris Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 What did everyone think of 2018 Halloween? I personally loved it. It felt very fresh to me because it's been a long while since we seen Laurie Strode since H20 (We don't count Resurrection).

Lead Cenobite Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 But I didn't care for it, it didn't feel like the epic conclusion it should have been. It feels like it doesn't know what it wants to be: a drama, a misunderstood love story, an insight into darkness then "Oh wait, this is Halloween" then it ends. The weakest of the new trilogy.
konaa Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 It's kind of bad, but I kind of respect it for taking such deeply weird narrative choices? What a strange, strange movie.

Why do I have a feeling it's going to suck though? It was released today here in Chile. Some movies get released here (South America) before USA.
teresaguidice Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 deeply hated the first two but still going to watch this
Fuecoco Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Just got done watching Ends and I’m throughly disappointed..
livelikemusic Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Not what I was expecting... yet, I did enjoy the conclusion.
Sweetestsecret Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) And this is why Halloween 1978- Halloween 2- H20 are still the best movies of the franchise and the best trilogy overall Edited October 14, 2022 by Sweetestsecret

I don't think I'd say 5 minutes, probably like 1 minute 30 seconds total. They didn't even put her in the end scene which had me saying wtf

D_Man3379 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) Well that was awlful. Got no faith in The Exorcist remake if DGG is still in charge. Edited October 14, 2022 by D_Man3379
montacelo Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Yeah I did not like whatever that was… so many things did not make sense and the other parts I just couldn’t take seriously

Attitude Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Not the first 30 minutes serving twisted rom com.
MasterXPosed Posted October 14, 2022 Author Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) Without spoilers, I thought Ends was brilliant! It really does something new with the franchise, and I really like It for being different. I mean It follows Kills, and what trauma and fear does to a community, and what the community can do to Innocent people. Corey was, and the town turned him Into a monster. I liked that a lot. His character Is really fleshed out, and you feel bad for him when the effects come to play. On note of other things, Allyson really got to shine this film. I liked seeing a different side of her. More personality, and the effects of what happened to her and her mental health struggles. Also Laurie having a personality outside of Michael made me very happy. twirling her hair which was a callback to 78, and her geeky side coming to play. The ending was also really amazing, and I'm so happy Laurie finally killed Michael. Don't go Into this movie expecting another Michael Myers slasher. We already got that In 2018 and Kills! I do believe this will get a cult following years to come. Edited October 14, 2022 by MasterXPosed

bad guy Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 The first hour being nothing but a weird ass romcom about how "misunderstood" Cory and Alison are The plot and twist Disappointed but then again only two Halloween movies are good in this franchise
