I wanna see how they recreated the ambush scene with Vanessa. Has anyone watched the movie and could put me some spoilers?

Halle must be exhausted from all this press

Halle Bailey is all the reason that any audience should need to justify Disney revisiting this classic

Peter Debruge from Variety's review

The human world, it's a mess, but with Halle Bailey, life under the sea is better than anything Disney live-action has done in nearly a decade.

A sparkling, enchanting new spin that out-swims the original, with a pitch-perfect performance from Halle Bailey.

The Little Mermaid is a live-action remake done well. The casting (with one notable exception) is phenomenal, led by Halle Bailey's breathtaking performance as Ariel; the original songs are portrayed in vivid displays that will make children's eyes sparkle; and the story has been adjusted to correct the first film's less-than-modern relationships.

Marshall has captured enough of the magic from the original to entertain longtime fans. Bailey's Ariel is one for the ages, and McCarthy is fantastic as Ursula. With these two ladies on board, The Little Mermaid is a genuine delight.

Go Halle!!! :heart2:

The Little Mermaid delivers for fans new and old, and Halle Bailey is a bonafide superstar.

It seems we’ve finally been presented with a remake that has something to say. And most of this is down to a star-making turn from leading lady Halle Bailey.

Led by a pitch-perfect Halle Bailey, The Little Mermaid is bolstered by deeper characterization and a grand scope, even as it grapples with flaws.

Update on popcorn buckets:

AMC is getting that light up one we saw a few weeks ago:

Cinemark has a basic tin one but it resembles the scales on Ariel so at least it's simple yet pretty with those colors (not yet announced but once again my theater released them early :skull:

Even the most negative reviews are praising Halle's performance in the greatest ways possible. She's being universally praised for how incredible her performance is in this! :weeps: I'm so happy for her!

They'll probably end up in their online shop if you can't snatch one in person. it's what they've been doing for the past few months  I know I'm going to try to get one

A star-making turn from newcomer Halle Bailey and some poignant subtext about fathers and daughters elevates this latest Disney live-action remake.

Halle Bailey’s rich performance makes the film worth watching; she was born to play Ariel.

I can see this settling in the 60-65 range which isn’t bad at all. :clap3:

How much were they? I got the Cinemark one and I'm seeing the movie Thursday but with the scalpers and people buying in bulk I'm always worried I won't ever get one. I passed on the Guardians and a few others because they were borderline $50
