I think the live action Disney remakes of the last few years are amongst the most ugly looking films ever. it's all gloss, no emotion. they are too dark and too close to reality to evoke any of the awe and magical emotions that the originals do. again, if anything i'm happy this is gonna be a showcase for Halle's undeniable vocal talent and star power.
Aethereal Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 The CGI animation was fine from day 1, it was a little bit too dark but that is how ocean is. Sea world and sea creatures are more easily made by CGI. The animals will look more reliable than in TLK.
Gossip_Boy Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 The only big miss so far are the designs of the animals especially those of Scuttle and Sebastian. But at least they don’t look as emotionless as the animals of a certain other live action remake. Everything else looks (and sounds) fine.

Yeah, I agree about the realism/documentary/video game. You almost don't know what you're watching, but it doesn't quite seem like a movie (not bad, just odd). I'm still excited to see it, and the CGI looks better with every clip they release.
MadonnasBoyfriend Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRwKasK4/ They are making the bird able to breath and talk under water. This is gonna be such a stupid movie

Thinking Of You Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 The premiere is tomorrow, meaning the first reviews from critics are coming. I’m scared.

Every comment doesn't need to be policed by you two.. 😒 And you certainly don't need to be constantly posting negative comments in a thread about a film you don't want to see for months. Yet here we are.
