I feel like this should look SO much more vibrant :noparty: but maybe it will in the final footage?

I'm sure Halle's gonna kill it and I will support regardless

It certainly looks like it’s nowhere near done, CGI wise. I hope it’s done by the time it’s meant to be released & doesn’t suffer a delay. :rip:

yeah... why is there like a dull overlay that dims everything? it should be way more colorful & "animated" The CGI of her swimming, falling on the jelly fish looks atrocious. the Kiss the Girl moment looks devoid of emotion.

the best part is her smiling and tickling the puffer fish. i think her charm and sweet energy will save this film.

Prince Eric :noparty: Why does he look so stuffy and too buttoned up :rip: And is that a moustache? Mess

It's actually a 5 o clock goatie but extremely light

Finally a prince that isn't afraid to show us some facial hair

The Little Mermaid is my fave Disney so I have high hopes

regarding the fact that Ariel is a black woman, I don't care tbh but factually it doesn't really make sense since she's from Denmark

I do hope the CGI looks great and doesn't look like a Once Upon a Time episode

not this again :deadbanana2:

This is a mess. Disney needs to stop making these things. We already have the animated originals which are classics. They keep putting out these films hoping for easy cash. “Pinocchio” should have been a wake up call for them.

The CGI looks a mess :skull:

Hopefully it’s better in the final version.

also my take was taken as racist and I got shortly banned when my point was misunderstood meaning I wanted to see ALL culture being celebrated and represented meaning not just like what Hollywood does sometimes in trying to just appear as "woke"

but I do feel sorry if I offended anyone

STOP it looks STUNNING :jonny5:

She’s absolutely gorgeous and the absolute PERFECT for this role. The jelly fish, Kiss The Girl, her voice :jonny6:

Coming for 2B with grace and ease

I feel like Avatar Way of Water has cursed all other movies set underwater because they simply cannot compete :dies:

other than that, I think Halle looks incredible

sucks for you. Lolz!

With how dull and dark that ocean look, I understand why Ariel wants to get the f+ck out of there.

Her hair is an ugly color. It’s more brown than red. The leaked trailer is light years better than this new teaser. They’re trying to sabotage this movie’s success :ace:

Even the puffer fish is horrified by the CGI

holy **** that cgi. the shot of her spinning to face the camera as she swam looked like it was from a Barbie Animated Movie :ace::deadbanana2:

It looks absolutely incredible! I'm so damn excited. :duca:

I'm excited, yet scared AF by the underwater stuff, and seeing Ursula. But I'm excited for Melissa McCarthy!!

I knew the CGI would be hard and be really pushing the budget cause you have to do a whole underwater kingdom, underwater creatures, Ursula and her lair, the merpeople AND the human kingdom, the magic, the land animals, etc. :deadbanana:

The other Disney remakes only had a couple of those things :dies:
