I'm on board but Disney REFUSES TO LEARN.

Β

STOP making live action versions of films that were inherently magical with photorealism!!! It SETS UP YOUR TALENTED CAST FOR LASHINGS!

Β

The ATROCITY that was TLK should've taught them this, at least its critical reception. As talented as she may be, she won't be able to weather the collective effect of photorealistic fish and lobsters (:deadbanana:) vaguely moving around her as if talking + the accuracy of what colour ranges can penetrate deep waters. :rip:Β Mama no one cares that under the sea red is almost completely muted, GIVE her her iconic cartoon hair. Now.

TLK is in the top 10 grossing movies of all time. Online fodder is just that … fodder.Β

The original movie is so saturated, vivid and bright :psyduck:Β why would they mute the colorsΒ

Because the original was a f*cking cartoon and didn’t feature an actual human being?

Β

Are you being dumb right now or are you just inherently dense?

The racist are so angry in here. Keep crying white walkers.

I'm so, so, so happy that her hair isn't bright red but a more natural color.

But what happened to her shells?Β

Β

I can already see the same racist comments again, that we already dealt with back when Halle was announcedΒ

And what ist it with the dumb comments under the teaser? I don't understand it.

Yeah why couldnt they keep the shells :rip:Β fabric fabric looks uncool underwater.

People care so much about the skin color of a fictional character. :toofunny2:

I thought they hid the dislike bar. It doesn't show up for me.

No one else thinks it looks cartoonish?

Her voice is just wow. Godly

Β

She doesn’t look good there honestly tho. She doesn’t look like they even tried.

Β

But I’ll wait for the whole thing before saying anything more.

Β

Β

In what way does she not look good though? Because she doesn't have stereotypical features? I feel people a so used to cookie cutter leads with barbie features, this is perfect casting for a more natural grounded vision. We need more diverse faces in movies.Β

They could of reddened her hair more but the artistic decision for a more natural copper which isn't going to impact the quality of the film

The teaser is nice. I expected a slightly more saturated look, but this is a tiny glimpse. I'm excited!Β

also a Disney princess with dreadlocks, this is surely going to set off all the Karens and conservatives :rip:Β

Β

Because?Β

Β

Anyway she sounds amazing, it looks good but the shot was not well done. The hair could have been redder but one thing for sure, I'll be watching and giving my coins.Β

And I can't wait for the racists to cry hard about it.Β

Posted

i wish it was more vibrant.... a bit too mature fairy tale for adults type of FX effect i fear

Posted

Wish the hair was more red.Β

Posted

She sounds good, but not feeling her look at all.Β

Posted

Looks amazing can't wait to see this! Unfortunately not surprised about the racist comments here.Β

Posted

For me it lack a bit of realism in the cgi department in some of the shots of her swimming, but everything else looks good, looking forward to thisΒ

Nasally runs were not needed for Part of Your World.Β

The simplicity of Disney songs is what makes them beautiful and accessible.Β
