Is this good?

It's not good if we're being honest.

But we don't need to worry about Halle's career IMO. :lakitu:

"The Flash" takes the cake as the biggest bomb so far.

Somebody else should have been The Flash, not Ezra. He was wrong for the part from the start and he made his character into a parody. It almost ruined the rest of the DCEU movies he was in. The Flash should have been given to someone like Tom Holland.

The Flash is an all-time level bomb, but even looking at just Disney releases - Elemental and probably Indiana Jones will lose more money for them than The Little Mermaid will

so you know...still not good but at least not worst in show

TLM will return the money back with ancillaries.

The breakeven point for Maleficent 2 with ancillary figures was 485M.

TLM seems to resemble it in terms of commercial success.

Could've been worse.

No, we knew it wont breakeven with theaterical rentals alone since the first week.

It will get the money back with streaming, TV and DVD/VHS sales.

Sure, but Disney doesn't put out these remakes for them to lose money theatrically and have to many their money back on the ancillary market. That's nothing but a disappointment

just not as big of a disappointment as other stuff going on around it for Disney

Variey is unreliable cause they even predict it to end its run with less than $500M

It's not breaking even.

So we're comparing Maleficent with Ariel now?

Ariel is an iconic Disney character and this movie should have done 3x more based on the title alone.

A flop is a flop. Oh well...

Absolutely loved this film, was amazing to watch in the cinema. Halle Bailey was an in incredible Ariel. Can't wait to see her in The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea. Who will play Melody? :eli:

It hasn't even hit $500M yet, but The Flash is making everything look like a smash so maybe TLM won.

I had no spectations after all... and I actually enjoyed it!

Wouldnt say I loved it cause there was something weird about it... I couldnt say what exactly... but Halle ate and left no crumbs, she did amazing! Just missing iconic scenes like the all sisters at the begining or Sebastian and the chef, instead of Eric's solo, for example... but I could understand the reasons, I guess...

Still, completely undeserved hate and I dont understand why the figures are not higher, honestly... still decent numbers, calling it a flop is not justified

Given the dislike rate in Youtube there were chances it would end up making similar numbers to Dumbo, WW.

America saved it.

It obviously would fly past 1B had Ariel been a white redhead but it is what it is.

Better to get the money back than to lose $100M.

Little mermaid needs $550M-$600M to break even.. right now it has $466M ..I'm afraid that it's difficult for the movie to break even

Don't be afraid, it will absolutely break even at the box office and then continue to make money once it's on streaming.

Disney+ doesn’t make any money. That’s the problem. Disney doesn’t make these movies to break even and make no profit. The film turned out to be a disaster for them.
