I love some of her music but her celebrity status/star power is next to 0. Her songs were big but Ava herself isn't. She doesn't have a fanbase, if she stops getting hits/gets dropped by Atlantic she'll basically disappear.

 

All of the other artists you listed got some hype on Twitter, or built a fanbase or became niche artists somehow, regardless of the amount of hits. It's better for award shows to bring these people rather than someone who wouldn't bring any hype at all.

People listen to Ava's music but they don't talk about her and I love that for her honestly cause she gets to make music that she likes and make money off of it but stays out of the spotlight. She doesn't seem to care about building a presence for herself either so maybe it's perfect for her the way it is.

So why is Ava not being invited to more award shows? She has been succesful since 2019 

So you're mad that Ava only performed once at EMAs, her only award show and you name 3 artists that also performed once, only at EMAs?   And all 3 are European.

Couldn't have put it better myself. I do think her team should invest more in building her presence beyond the music, through talk show appearances, hosting awards ceremonies, and more live performances - especially in Europe where she's most successful. But it ultimately depends on what Ava wants for her career.

 

From the little clips I've seen here and there, she comes off as very endearing and sweet, and the interview where she's unable to name any Elton John song despite hyping him prior is such a gem. ? I really hope she's given more opportunities to let her personality shine, especially when you have the likes of Machine Gun Kelly appearing at every award show. Say what you want about Chloe and Normani, but they at least have genuine social media hype to back them up, and killer visuals and performing skills that were tailor-made for TV spectacle. MGK keeps getting high-profile gigs despite him being mostly known for his cringe-worthy try-hard antics with Megan Fox (and that's coming from someone who actually enjoyed the singles off his first rock project).
