Ava is arguably Atlantic's biggest female pop act aside from Lizzo, she has scored hits from smash sized (SBS, K&Q, The Motto) to mid sized (MHMH, SAI), yet she has rarely performed at award shows. Her only real ''high profile'' performance is at the 2019 EMAs

 

 

Yet there are artists that have performed at award shows that have not had the same success as Ava like:

- Chloe (0 top top 20 hits)

- Normani (no album out, no song as big as SBS or K&Q)

- Kim Petras (No hits)

- Girl in Red

- YUNGBLUD

 

So why is Ava not being invited to more award shows? She has been succesful since 2019

Honestly that performance in the op is the worst I’ve seen from her. She’s usually not too bad, but that was horrific.

Tbh her management isn't very good when you put things in perspective. Label get her playlisted on streaming and radio, but her general media presence is too little compared to how big her songs were.

I agree it's her worst performance but tbf this was one of her first (and only) big award show performances so she was probably very nervous. She's gotten a lot better since

Award shows invite artists who will bring in rating or will put on a great show to be talked about the next day. 
 

I’m sorry she isn’t going to bring either. I’m sure her team have sent request but she is never picked. 
 

I do think she should at least do a pre show performance for the VMAs at least

She’s unknown nobody knows who she is. And she doesn’t have a presence nor a Fanbase

There is no benefit to attending or performing at an award show in 2022. She obviously just doesn't want to go. She seems to attend very few events overall.

I think Kim Petras niche is bigger than Ava's. Not many people know Ava, or even know that those smashes listed in the OP were sung by her. She just has those hits, but her name is not big. Unlike Normani or Chloe listed by the OP, the first has actually smash hits that people know were sung by her and the latter is a known name from an acclaimed duo. Ava is nothing new or even good enough honestly, and I think that's why she isn't invited.
