Harry is currently peaking and is a much younger artist. Are the wildly different performances of their lead singles not a good enough hint?

Age and single performance doesn’t matter when you are the (arguably) biggest artist of the last 3 decades. Beyoncé has shown time and time again that she doesn’t need to debut #1 to sell records. Now that she is building hype in the traditional way for her project, why would I not believe she couldn’t pull off 350k easily.

so I have to politely disagree with your statement.

eminam is the biggest commerical artist of the last 3 decades, beyonce is huge but she is not untouchbale like some claim. and yes, age does matter and also the time you already spent on mainstream.  and while break my soul is a hit in the US, that song is no 26 on the streaming chart this week so it's some mega smash.

even if she will do 100k(ans she will) it's already huge for her, i just don't think she will come close to her last realeses and many big artists underprformed this year with their debuts so this is also a factor.

I assumed you meant 500-600k.

I think 300k is the limit here, which would still be a fantastic result.

300-350k is definitely attainable.

I’m sorry but comparing Eminem to Beyonce doesn’t really work. Beyoncé is still able to sell out arenas, and drop a song, with it debuting in the top 10. Eminem still drops album with average first week sales but I haven’t seen him tour or have a single have longevity in a while. Eminem is a legend, yes, but not comparable.

his catalogue is doing by far better than beyonce and he outsold her and outstreamed her( daily artists today he was 14 and beyonce 64) . and about touring he is just not touring, the only relevent tour i found in 2014(monster tour) was doing extreamly good but i just guess he dosen't love it.

it's not that relevent though, we'll found out soon and we'll see about it.

I’m confused, if Harry can do 500k first week, why do y’all think Beyonce can’t?

this is her first traditional roll out in ages, with a single that is smashing worldwide.

I personally think those Renaissance packages that are sold out will count towards first week sales, which will help a lot. People will also instantly listen off her name alone.

I think the predictions are high but they aren’t too far fetched. I personally see her doing 350-400k. Excited nevertheless to hear the album.

The problem is album sales are dead, so the majority of her fanbase who would definitely check out the album are in an older category and are way less likely to heavily stream music. She's not massive on streaming, and sales are dead so she lands somewhere in the middle. Someone like Taylor managed to to leverage both spaces but she's dedicated to having a dedicated base, Bey meanwhile throws the Beyhive crumbs and hasn't really been doing anything to promote the album or engage with fans.

300k is kind of the minimum I expect from her. 400k-450k If the music is amazing and able to create buzz, 500-600k is possible if there's some bigger media rollout impending (An impressive netflix film)

Someone pointed out that the boxes will count towards her debut sells so yeah she’s definitely doing at least 200k and possibly more. Witness first week teas

500k is a bit too much to expect but who knows. I think she needs to start promoting like now since it was promised.

Eminem is by far and away the bigger artist, and I’m a huge Beyonce fan, let’s stop being delusional please

Um no, Beyonce is a touring artist and Eminem cannot come CLOSE to her grosses, so no.

Eminem's catalogue has bigger sales and streams.

He's just not a huge touring act, mainly cuz he doesn't ever go on tour

Let's not be delusional

Eminem don't tour because he doesn't like touring like that, but he DO NUMBER when he tour.  If Eminem does a whole world tour, he could easily do what the rock stars and popstars number, trust me.

Eminem crowds : r/Eminem

This numbers seems to be not realistic, especially if we consider 0 promo, 200-300k is more likely:coffee2:

Yeah. This no promo isn’t going garner 600k in sales

I hate set ups. Most of us have reasonable or modest expectations, and if they’re surpassed, that’s just an extra cherry on top. I’ll be happy with 200k.

They are setting her up. I predict around 200K
