still thinking about that finale, this easily has to be one of the best shows of the year. I think all of the actors did a great job for the show, but its interesting I've seen literally nothing from Allison Williams promoting it? She did a pretty good job honestly and is a very underrated actress.

I saw a clip of one interview of her by herself, but it isn't shocking she got sidelined.

It's a gay story, focusing on the two gay characters, and her other co-stars are gay men, so they're really pushing that angle. All of the promo photoshoots, and interviews I have seen involved the 4 of them, or just Matt and Jonathan. Sadly, the perspective of her character as the beard wife isn't going to be pushed promotionally.

I am definitely going to rewatch this to see what I missed, but I don't know if I will do it in a few days, weeks, or months..

One of the best queer series/movies ever, seriously.  Matt, Jonathan, Allison, and everyone involved put their hearts into this and it shows.  :heart2:

Jonathan Bailey deserves every award in the world for his role. I felt like giving hugs to Tim in the most difficult times in his lives, that’s how his performance effected me.

Finally made IMDB's top 50 most popular shows. A lot of word of mouth happening in social media rn. Hopefully it continues to grow

Finally got to finish this and i am utterly devastated. That last scene between them when Tim confesses all his love to Hawk and Hawk asks Tim not to write him destroyed my heart

Hollywood is full of weirdos. What is weird for the everyday person, isn't for them.

I believe Jonathan also has a boyfriend.

binge watched this over the past three nights with my best friend and ho. ly. f*ck. I feel forever changed lol

Spoiler

just so f*cking good the whole way through. one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking coming-of-age type gay stories I’ve come across in a really long time. I’m obsessed with their progression. with their personalities. the way Hawk reacts to Jackson’s death is so realistic, I felt that to my core. Tim’s constant frustration and internal struggle, reckoning with religious trauma and its aftermath, going from job to job to path to byway like oh my GOD that felt so real. earth-shattering. Lucy’s anger, the unfinished story of Jackson, the way Marcus acts like a father figure to Jerome :cries: so beautiful, so stunningly acted. the poignance of “bully coward victim” on Roy’s quilt too?? brilliant detail

the sex scenes were all so beautiful, they reminded me of times I’ve had sex where there’s just been emotion overtaking me. so powerful and nostalgic and timeless

OH AND THE AGING MAKEUP??? like holy f*ck it was immaculately done!!

seriously though also the Fire Island scenes were so gorgeous I teared up 🥺

all in all, a love story and a tragedy for the ages. 10/10 :clap3::heart2:

I just binge watched this in 2 days. Pretty much cried every episode. This show opens a lot of old wounds for me, like coming to term with my sexuality during my early teenage year, being raised in a Catholic family, the internal homophobia and struggle… The last episode is so powerful, i love that Tim’s last scene is

him fighting for AIDS, which pretty much sums up his life fighting for a cause he believes in. They could have made him being on his death bed for a more melodramatic ending but Im so glad they didnt go with that direction.

Just finished and im crying from the ending scene. He was finally able to say he loved him but it was too late...

also, the amount of suffering our community had to go through in order for us to live our lives freely today is so incomprehensible.

i salute them

Finally got around to watching this. Good lord Bomer is so good in the last scene with the quilt, made me very emotional.

Bailey put his entire beating heart into this performance and us as viewers can really tell.

I also have to say the supporting actors were REALLY strong in this series, in particular the actor playing Roy Cohn, the kid actor playing Jackson, Allison Williams and the actor playing Frankie.

And this song is beautiful:
