Cant forget Survivor and Bootylicious too. DC was just giving classic after classic.

And far as the “cult classics” go, it’s the way this promotional single out streamed a plethora of top 10 hits from that decade including her very own Deja Vu and Ring The Alarm:

and the way this re-peaked on the top 100 into the following decade

I think OP was posting all the YEAR-END Top 20 positions. Meaning it was an absolute annual smash.

Most of these songs made the decade end chart too, right? phew :WAP:

OH WOW. ATRL tends to erase this from their memories and only remembers anything from 2010-2020 but little did they know that Bey was the Katy/Riri of the 2000s; she was dominating the weekly, yearly and decade end charts effortlessly.

what's amazing to me about these are that none of them are very forgettable. usually when one has lots of hits over many years there are a couple that don't really hold up or have the same impact/quality of the others but they all are pretty great songs with recognizabiity and iconicness in their own right

perhaps the one that fits that description best is Check On It which she didn't ever even promote...so that's understandable, but even then it's still a memorable song that almost everyone enjoys, not something one forgets and doesn't even care about later when they hear it.

Excuse me what? Check on it is iconic. :clap3:

She's been that girl since Clinton was in office and the Twin Towers were up, the girls have been understandably mad for years, I would be as well if I haven't gotten to breathe freely since 2001.

Destiny's Child alone had such a great and impressive chart run...

Of the 15 singles they released in the US:

  • 10/15 were Top Ten
  • 9/15 were Top 5
  • 4/15 were #1

The remaining five singles that charted outside of the Top Ten were:

  • Get On the Bus (soundtrack single, didn't chart)
  • Bug a Boo (#33)
  • Girl (#23)
  • Cater 2 U (#14)
  • Stand Up For Love (charity single, did not chart)

Overall, not one of their charting singles appeared lower than Top 40 on the Hot 100 (at #33). If it was a hit, it was a hit.

It is!

But it's not really one of her signature hits by any means, and I think it's one that needs to be remembered "OH YES! CHECK ON IT!" when listing her hits rather than it being one of the first/notable ones to mention like a CIL, Halo, Single Ladies... most of the ones in the OP for that matter.

Don't get me wrong, it's the song that really made me into a fan, but I was trying to be less biased in assessing if any of the OP songs could be in the more "forgettable" category (that most people with tons of hits have, just by nature of not all hits being able to be the most memorable of the batch).

Wasn’t there a calculation of the biggest 2000s hitmaker that showed that with Bey + DC almost doubled Usher? LOL. The domination was real. People forget it took a decade of smash after smash to get her status like no letting up. Every album DC or solo had multiple smash hits. (Even B’Day cause Check On It is on versions of the album)
