No jumpscares, almost no gore, nor genre branding of horror.

 

Just pure chilling fear that could happen to you (karma, solitude, power struggle). From visuals, music, and storylines.

he's great, but i only see this argument for killing of a sacred deer and maybe dogtooth. the lobster and the favourite especially are pure dark comedies.

Where?  I could see TKOSD being a horror movie, the rest don’t even come close. They have more in common with comedies than anything. 
 

That being said, he is an amazing filmmaker and immensely talented.
