And debuted AND peaked at #5. Peak is what people remember.

TBH though, BMS is doing pretty good. I can see it staying in the top 20 for a couple more weeks. Still not as good as we're led to believe the "Internet breaking" Beyonce can be.

#7 won't be BMS peak :coffee:

Not really, they remember a song if they heard it. A song that was fuelled by stans the first week and then disappeared off the chart after 9 weeks isn't really going to be remembered by anyone. :rip:

A weird flex to try and think a #5 peak, followed by -25 is somehow better than a multi-week top 10. :toofunny3:

Top 5 during a world lockdown pandemic not everyone have that I fear:jonny5:

A bizarrely specific "achievement". :skull: I'm not sure anyone is craving anything chart related during a "world lockdown pandemic". :toofunny3:

As it Was is really the record of the year for 2022. I see it complete a total of 10+ weeks at #1, which would make it the fourth song this decade to spend at least 10 weeks at #1 alongside Easy On Me, Butter and The Box.

I TRULY want Lizzo to get a 2nd #1.

The woman is a force; very underrated overall.

:jonnycat:

Me too. She needs to prove she isn't an one era wonder. Also she's an incredible performer.

So you're arguing that "Trollz" is more successful and remembered that "Bad Romance", due to its peak of #1?

Stupid Love won :jonny5:

In its third week was it even top 50? :gaycat6:

I'm gonna need Heatwaves, and every single Drake is on, to leave the Top 10.

OT: It's great to see that BMS will more than likely chart on the YE list, not every lead single gets that privilege.

Except y’all have been saying for weeks Stupid Love is a forgotten flop that outperformed BMS so why would anyone remember its peak?

Y’all also said that Bey doing “SL numbers” is bad, but now it’s good?

And why would y’all be dragging SL if the peak is all that matters?

Yall can’t even be consistent in your lying.

It's the only reason some songs are charting at all on the Hot 100.
