Madonna Finally Enough Love

The fact that workaday Israeli DJ and producer Offer Nissim appears twice across the album’s 16 tracks, while the Pet Shop Boys’ fantastically chiseled take on “Sorry” only turns up on 50 Number Ones, is a cultural facelift akin to Cecilia Gimenez’ scandalous attempts to clear up the Ecce Homo fresco.

can someone pls Xplain :pool:

Madonna connected with the European dance underground on her fantastic 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor

Thank you, no more questions.

Pitchfork, a collection of nobodies.

They didn't lie. Offer Nissim makes horribly trashy Circuit music and has no place on that collection.

The hate is deserved.

When it was announced that she would release a remix album, I thought they would all be brand new. And then I realize I already know most of them?!?!

This remix collection is absolutely pointless and deserves all the drags.

The other baffling call on Finally Enough Love is the decision to include remix edits rather than the full remixes themselves, [...] the decision is akin to buying a dog that loves to swim, then locking it in the laundry room.

It's a ******* compilation so review it as such, nobody promised here brand new remixes and ****.

It’s a brilliant compilation of music that has saved many a soul and the deformed-looking hipster douchebags living in a studio in Brooklyn that populate P4K will NEVER get this music because it’s for sexy people only

There will be negative reviews, always. It's true some choices were made but at the end of the day, it's her vision.

The 16 track version is beyond worthless so it deserves the drags. The 50 Track is actually brillant and the offer nissim tracks fit in the theme rather than dominate the back half of a small album.

The true crime is that the I'll Remember (Guerila Beach Mix) is not on here because I'll Remember somehow was not a #1 for Madonna on the dance chart? :mazen:

Poor Cecilia Giménez, she will never live that down :jonny:

They should rereview Confessions...

I agree with that the second half of the album is the weaker one and GI2M, GGW, LFL are the worst remixes

Still the fact that this has a higher score from them than COADF is just :deadbanana4:

Because the Confessions review came from 2005 when they were more of an underground indie publication/ anti mainstream Pop. A retrospective Confessions review would have a way higher score now that critics of all publications became such soft Pop coddlers.

I actually love most of the remixes they picked? The true crime is them choosing the worst MATM remix to add. I can think of at least five other remixes that are better than the one they chose :skull:

They decided to like pop when pop started declining in quality.

I actually loathe this "poptimism" era... It is probably the worst time for Pop music in its history and this is when they decide to start "being fair and unbiased" about it? Pathetic:coffee2:

All these recent pop reviews with high scores are just overcompensating the mistreatment of pop albums from previous decades (and way better ones at that too).

That being said, Madonna is the highest acclaimed female artist and most of her "acclaimed" work certainly does not fall into the "poptimism" era.

unpop opp but i like the 2nd half more which doesn't mean i'm not enjoying the 1st one.

i was worried smt would sound dated BUT overall everything sounds fresh to me.

the replay value is there and that was my biggest fear. hearing it once and leave it for good.

so i'm happy and pf can stay miserable. :gaycat:

She tried getting four songs from each decade

i think she did a great job and all songs r smashes on da club charts

da only song I don’t want on it is the deep dish remix to Music cuz da Hex Hector remix was da main one played in clubs

This tbh.

I actually like that they are short and don’t drag for 10 mins.

it’s a very easy and fun listen especially at the gym.

They’ve always been harsh with her. The guy that reviewed Madame X is literally a known Mariah stan and in the review all he could talk about was her instagram.

good thing Madonna doesn’t give af about critics or kissing their asses
