Other than the fact that there is no correlation between your post and the thread... The only sample in the song is Big Freddie's voice. Bey's song does not sample Show Me Love. And no rehash of anything recent since the synth and beat are directly an odd to 70's/80's House.

Duty Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 I still vividly remember the night this album dropped omg how has it been almost 10 years already? it's crazy
AxelFox Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 It's her magnum opus. Truly a spectacular record that encapsulates so well who Beyoncé is as an artist and entertainer. It will always be one of my top albums. Blow is simply my favorite thing she's ever done. This **** is just perfect, like there's nothing that could have made it better. The melody, the clean but suggestive lyrics and play of words, the cherry surprise... The video nailed it to a T as well, so many amazing looks that could've become iconic had this been a single, the way it's shot, the FACE she is serving in those close ups... *chef's kiss*

Beyonce was a refreshing surprise release where she was now a MILF ready to sing about topics she never explored. Now she's growling over a beat that's been recycled ad nauseam about freeing yourself despite being a black conservative. OT: Her second best album!

AMIT Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Amazing album, but I'm glad we are on the streaming era now since I can pretend the album starts at (Ghost)/Haunted like it should have always been.
trainsskyscrapers Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 TBH, she took her time, stuck to her guns, and was smart to incorporate B00TS' timeless, beat-heavy style into her new, mature, darker sound. I remember being SHOOK when that 2013 article in the Hollywood Reporter was released telling us she scrapped an entire album worth of tracks... (article in question)... but what we got is miles better than the original rumored+released tracks: A) Baddie B x Old-Beyonce: Bow Down/I Been On, Two Footprints, Rise Up, Grown Woman, God Made You Beautiful, Standing On The Sun, Runway, Donk, Wake Up, etc.
Triton Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Whooo! The ability to flawlessly execute a body of work! Not everybody has that. Its her best album, no wonder it’s Self Titled.
PopLord86 Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 It’s because she didn’t use outdated and stale material, had a strong artistic vision and didn’t rush it. One of the best albums. She set THE TREND of visual albums with this record.
kyliefever2002 Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 easy cause its one of the best albums of ALL time its literally excellent (if you skip superpower)
