byzantium Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 It should be noted that the Supreme Court has been chipping away at Miranda rights for years and when statements can actually be excluded from court. Unless you are a lawyer versed in the law, one should generally never do anything without a lawyer present and counseling them.
ClashAndBurn Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Inaccurate. Miranda rights are still here, as any testimony made before Miranda rights are read to you are inadmissible in court. This maintains the status quo, if anything. Cops can't be successfully sued for forgetting to read you your Miranda rights, nor have they ever been.
