I don’t think the song has anyone pressed. It is not even receiving much hate, people just react to it being underwhelming.

However in Beyoncé’s defense imo while her isolated songs haven’t blown socks off for a good while now they work SO well within albums, which is why surprise drops did wonders for her.

It will be interesting how well this traditional release strategy does if reception remains this lukewarm across the GP.

i agree with the exessive threads and those are by a certain fanbase struggling with their fave's floppiness.

 

however the single is disappointing and sounds very filler.

Because her side projects “BOMBED” 98-OUT she hasn’t had a hit in a DECADE etc etc was the narrative they were living for regardless whether or not her solo projects ever even commercially flopped. They were so sure of her downfall and didn’t fathom a comeback to the top 40, even if it is ever so slightly and mild. I personally don’t LOVE the song as a stan, but it’s ok. Already, Find Your Way Back, Apeshit etc are better than it, but that’s a conversation for the girls that are willing to look past charts and peaks.
