Jude Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I'm not feeling it. I'm sad. Hopefully the other songs come through.
moonlitdick Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 That Rih/Bey collab y’all been eternally begging for would actually finally make sense on a house song if Rih uses her higher WFL register to contrast with Bey’s lower BMS register
HeavyMetalAura Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Also is she dragging people who weren’t wearing masks during the height of COVID with the “with the mask outside, in case you forgot how we act outside” line? that’s how I’m choosing to interpret it. Icon
Souvenir Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 i didnt think someone can release a worse song than As It Was. Wow beyonce.. she didnt suprise me tho her last decent song is Daddy Lessons and her only good song is Halo
God_Donna Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Al of the emotions over this song is making me feel cray. This is truly a mess. This song will grow on you for sure.

It feels and sounds almost as if they just took a gospel song and remixed it rather than a new piece that is crafted from scratch. Her B’day voice would sound really really good on house/dance beat in my opinion. Her current voice has so much soul and depth, yet due to aging, it doesn’t sound as youthful and bright as her earlier days! I like the song but I wish I could have loved it. I know there are much better songs on the album so I’m still super super excited This is interesting commentary seeing as how the detractors have said she's too robotic, has no soul or unique voice. Now it's too strong? And it's no attack on your comment but Bey can't win for ****. Based on the comments outside of this thread, many of them want a more malable and simplistic voice on the track and to me that's just hilarious and disrespectful. Again, not pertaining to your comment as a fan. But stans of others pretty much want Bey punished over the fact that she can sing.

Ari29 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Reading this thread is funny…according to users this song sounds like so many different, unrelated things. I’ve seen Gaga, CharliXCX, Carly Rae and gospel.

Thinking that Beyoncé has a soulless voice is just delusional and that comes by someone that doesn’t like her at all like me… just not fed that trolls and haters and go away with it honey, she have one of the most powerful voices in the industry right now and nobody can’t deny it
Mikeymoonshine Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I think it's cute, not my favourite by her but not bad.

WHEW, the GP will come through once they hear this song in the upcoming months
Jynx672 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I can listen to this at work while doing a boring task... but I'm hoping the album will better.
Yakult Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 3 hours ago, BlackoutZone said: The production technically isn’t bad or anything, but I’ll never understand what’s the point of releasing a song predominately built on a straight-forward sample that isn’t better (or at least very different) to the sampled original backtrack. At least make it interesting, add some flavor, otherwise why would I listen to this instead of the original song. Used to Know Me by Charli really isn’t any better than this for the exact same reason, but at least her melody is a bit more catchy and less monotone. It’s an overused sample, but Beyoncé’s interpolation sounds different to the Robin S song (as opposed to Charli who used a straight sample of the backing track). Either they’ve completely transposed/chopped the beat or used a very subtle interpolation and/or sample of the track. Either that or they realised the synth organ is synonymous with Show Me Love and credited the writers to avoid a lawsuit.
Cain Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Not two of my GP friends texting me that they hate it and are confused as to why she took this direction ? And this famous Dutch person putting out a story about his disappointment Yeah we need a new song from the album stat

Someone should compile a list of the top 10 most nonsensical takes in this thread This would definitely be in the top 5. This sounds literally nothing like any song Carly has ever released. Like what

As a fan, I appreciate and love every version of her voice; however, I do have a favorite. I don’t want her to tone down on the singing to be honest. On a contrary, I actually want more harmonies and vocal acrobatic since it would make the song feel more her. My fave version of her voice is Self-Titled, but I just think her B’day voice would have sounded better on this track. That’s it lol! Edited June 21, 2022 by Kh-Loud
Rotunda Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I think my issue is that I literally don’t like Show Me Love
Bloodflowers. Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 the way gays will switch in 2 months once the GP hears this bop on the radio in summer (at least it will smash here in Europe)
