Headlock Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I feel like the song will work better within the flow of the album more than on its own

Dolce Vita Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 ive listened to it more and still love it, but i wish she didn’t sound as restrained/held back if that makes sense?? i think it needed more vocal dramatics or the song should’ve been in a higher key. with that aside the song still hits

JustActinUP Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 A house beat, over a gospel singing style with an infusion of bounce music. Her musicality is unmatched. Break my soul is fire!
Green Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Based on the lead single this will be her first studio album to be submitted for the Pop Album category at the Grammys (The Gift was nominated in Pop Album but that wasn't a studio album).
qurl Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 (edited) the think pieces the drags that y’all spend hours at the keyboard coming up with to get 2 people to repost u all that conversation beyoncé really is back Edited June 21, 2022 by qurl
KeirGrey Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I like it, but it's not really a great house song. The production has nice elements and the lyrics are pretty vapid (which i know is not shocking for house but i expected more from beyonce)
camilizer Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 y’all writing think pieces over a feel good summer song, the thing most people have asked beyonce to do for years Its most likely gonna smash in most places and be a moderate US hit just bc of her name After a few listens, i literally adore it

Komet Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 This is a bop, yall are full of **** for the sake of being full of ****. The production is great, it will sound amazing both in the clubs and on the radio.
Mr. Duff Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 The beat is great but I was hoping it would hit harder. The song in general is great though, the vocals are what sold me to this. She still got it, love the subtle runs!
Blue Jeans Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I am so happy such dance music is finally coming back to the mainstream after Adele and co buried it in the ground a decade ago. Fun song with good elements, but the beat is repetitive and lack melody
Starshine Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 It’s not a Bey era without the polarizing lead and thinkpieces ahh
Kh-Loud Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I can’t believe in what I’m about to say but her voice for some reason just doesn’t blend well with the beat at all. It feels and sounds almost as if they just took a gospel song and remixed it rather than a new piece that is crafted from scratch. Her B’day voice would sound really really good on house/dance beat in my opinion. Her current voice has so much soul and depth, yet due to aging, it doesn’t sound as youthful and bright as her earlier days! I like the song but I wish I could have loved it. I know there are much better songs on the album so I’m still super super excited
