Yall are so funny melting down like this. :lmao: I think you’re taking the lyrics “release ya anger, release ya stress!” a tad TOO seriously.

It’s a fun bop, get up and dance to it, or don’t and go listen to something you do enjoy instead of spending time complaining about something you hate. :rip: The stan world has warped some of yall minds. (I’m talking to the ones who are making a million posts repeating the same thing over and over, not the people just stating their opinion which is fair)

I can’t wait for the video!

This dddd this is not Lemonade and doesn't need thinkpieces. It's a bop and not for everyone. She set such a high bar I'm just happy she's doing something fun and cute now.

This song is good and yall will switch like always.

Bey sounds good as per usual. Don’t like any of the guys sounds. The melodies and music are good but also the style for me just isn’t it. Def not gonna be a commercial success at all. I think the album, however, has potential. Can’t wait to hear it.

This is a grower not a shower. :razzle:

I don't like this at all. Better than her average lead but too gay, generic for me and repetitive.

I can‘t stop listeeeeening. Hopefully she‘ll update the single cover once the video drops

I am appalled by some of your comments. This is fantastic, true retro house bop! Her voice was made for this kind of music. The choice for the piano sequence is brilliant.

Bravo! What a return to form. :smitten:

This is FANTASTIC :jonny5: I'm so glad I actually heard this for the first time at a NYC gay bar last night (instead of Spotify or YouTube), it literally just hit harder last night for that very reason. I'm sure for many of the detractors here, it will sound 200% better on a night out than just listening at home.

90s House is one of my favorite genres - it’s just not hitting, B can come up with better.  I think it’s 55% there.

I will say I actually love the big freedia parts.

I'm sorry but Deja Vu was not it either... and either way its 1.000.000 times better than this one.

At least DV sounded like Beyonce.

Deja Vu is her best single of all time. No TASTE

Listened to it a few times and not very excited by it. It doesn’t really take off. I may switch in the context of the whole album :thing:

This is exactly what I mean. Bey always has the gems in there.

the producer created a beat in ten minutes, put it on loop and called it a day :deadbanana:

Why is America so anti house music. Everything ain't just rnb and hip hop.

I think the music video will sell it like how run the world did.

This song is a grower.   I turned off to it at first...but now I'm addicted.

Yes and it slays :jonny6:

The current reception on ATRL is gagging me :skull:

Ya’ll don’t wanna dance to a lighthearted gay club banger? :deadbanana2:

If any other girl released a basic bop you’d be dragging it for years - B Stans have been on the high horse calling her music ~avant-garde only for us to get this demo :rip: I think that’s the main reason why people are dragging.

Deja Vu SLAPS.....halo bores me...formation was meh . Irreplaceable was very middle of thr road... single ladies is more for the music video and I will give you crazy in love it is up there.

Deja vu had the melody. The instruments. The funky bassline...whew  a serve!!

This is lackluster, like much of her recent music. A beat that goes nowhere, repetitive lyrics and lack of a catchy hook. It's strange she chose this track as a lead single; at best it's forgettable filler.

I’m not back-pedalling.

1. I still don’t care for dance music

2. I associate rhythmless dancing with white people yes.

y’all keep saying the genre was started by black people as if anyones arguing against that. Which popular black-frequented clubs in the world is bumping house music ? I’m not about to take my ass to a techno club to hear no goddamn Beyoncé music

Im not a casual listener of country either but daddy lessons is one of my favs off Lemonade. Im open minded about my fav venturing into other genres if the execution pays off. I don’t feel like it did in this case. It just reiterated what I don’t like about that genre. Y’all are not gonna bully me into changing my stance on a fecking genre of music. Im secure in my blackness. I don’t need to acknowledge house music for any reason.

Are you from the US? Outdoor House music parties are a thing here and they’re usually frequented by black people. There’s a whole foot work style dance that goes with this music. It really is its own culture and it’s still a thing…Baltimore and Jersey club music is really nothing but house music for the younger crowd.

If France stans this when they have ignored all her Urban releases for like a decade...

Racismé me thinks.

Definitely a grower this one. My only issue is the length but that hasn't stopped me from replaying so maybe she's on to something....

I'm curious to hear the rest of the album, because one thing about Giselle is that the pieces come together in the final body of work.
