Like if its something too complex to understand Even funnier because Chromatica nailed that retro aesthetic while keeping it still modern perfectly when this is a complete dated mess Chromatica didn’t nail **** it was a nice little pop album, the aesthetic was a mess

The only swine I see here isn’t someone who talks about Chromatica. If you fail to recognize that “swine” was a fun throwback to a Gaga song, then you are way too invested in this. This is supposed to be fun and mindless, everything we have been begging Beyoncé to do

She did not give a single f-ck when recording this song, which is shocking to me because she's usually such a perfectionist.

How is it dumb, it's the only pop girl era with the 90s sound we've had in a long time, ofc people will draw comparison. What are they gonna compare it to, Sweetener? Yall say the wildest things

The only swine I see here isn’t someone who talks about Chromatica. It's not a matter of opinion though. Opinion would be liking or disliking which is fine if people don't like it who cares. But to take away its merit insinuating the song is somehow "inspired" by Chromatica based on an hipotethical similarity between the music when that similarity isn't there is another thing. Gaga fans should know better than to those kind of accusations considering the amount of times she's been accused of copying.

Hilly Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I LOOOVE IT!!! from the lyrics, the vocals, the production, the rapping part, Big Freedia, the choir, it has bridge thank God!!! It’s definitely the type of 90’s house I like, the SOUL baby no EDM/euro dance mess Can’t wait for the music video!

Idk why but i just thought we were gonna be getting something really monumental after such a long wait. I'm not gonna make my mind up till i've listened in the context of the album. Shame that Beyoncé's championing of black excellence receiving the credit it's entitled too has yet again not been extended to Big F. It’s a sample, not a feature tho.

Chemist Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Quite generic but a bop nonetheless! Sorry but the Chromatica comparisons are completely valid

If only they tried to elevate the production instead of cycling the same damn tired sample on a loop for 4:38, this song could've been a house/dance masterpiece with a signature Beyonce sound. Instead it's just a lot of nothing

Alldeezy Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Oh I actually like this. It's EDM. I'm here for this era
Otter Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I do feel like it doesn't justify its length. The second verse should jump straight into the rap and transition to the bridge where most of the interesting progression happens. Hopefully she cuts an official radio edit

RideOrDie Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 people throwing around the words EDM, house and dance with no clue whatsoever

It's her voice that Beyoncé has opted to open her lead single for a second time with next to no acknowledgement. I'm sure there would be meltdowns had she sampled doja or gaga and not mentioned her name. Trans artists deserve the same acknowledgment and respect.
