Domination Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 After a couple more listens… It’s a.) way too long, and b.) as others have pointed out, very cheap production. Actually really enjoy the vocals but the production is makes Chromatica look like Self-Titled.
BNF91 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I think this will work so much better once the whole album is released. Like a piece of a big mix.
pavi Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I really like this! Big Freedia is a bit abbrasive at the start of the song, but later on, I kinda like it! The chorus is repetitive, but at the same time Bey's voice gives it life. Can't wait to dance to it! Also really like the second verse, cause it provides the kind of change the song needed!

I do however have faith that the album will be good tho
Lovett Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Only Beyoncé could make a near 5-minute long song feel short!
JonginBey Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 (edited) Not the little crackheads still being in here Edited June 21, 2022 by JonginBey
Ratviolo Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Yeah this was... lackluster, to say the least hopefully there will be better songs on the album
Sharapov Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I'm sorry but what is this? her worst (from her own album) single ever. i hope its a tease and not a lead

jpsketch Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Can confirm this sounds incredible on the dance floor. I can't believe she gave us AUTHENTIC house music in 2022. ?
PrudenceHCharmed Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 The monster will hate anything anyways so why listen to their opinion. At the end of the day their fav would never had that 90+ meta critic.
BOAZ Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Break My Soul more like Break this mfing forum errors after errors after 500 internal after 503...what a MESS anyway! This gave a good rush of adrenaline and lift up my spirit this morning. Can't believe she gave me this bday gift I can see why a lot of you are disappointed, but that's the way I always figured Bey doing house/dance music. My only complaint is that she sounds too much on restraint. It was the time to really make her growls and sultry voice shine on a Diva House track like BMS. I won't complain tho. She promised us fun and joy and that's what we're gonna get from this album! Plus, all of her lead singles are polarizing (except for CIL I guess because duh) so it's nothing new from her. I remember dreading Formation at first and now it's one of my favorite songs ever
Blankspace2010 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 It’s too monotone. That guys voice is so irritating.
Ice Cream Skies Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 This is pretty meh. I see why she included the "6." with the song title now. It's a 6.

Moonage Daydream Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 With the way the world is right now, this song is exactly the mood lifter we could all use. I’m not concerned about its originality because it’s giving me just what I need. The beats, the vocals, the uplifting lyrics. It’s an earworm for sure, I can’t stop replaying and dancing to it. And judging by the reception outside this forum, I’m not alone. When SL and RTW were released, a lot of stans also complained they were too generic and would flop and be forgotten about. And we saw how well those predictions aged. But I don’t care about chart placements, only quality music. I know RENAISSANCE will slay. Welcome back, Bey.
bidet Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I hated drunk in love too when she picked it as a lead so I still have hope for the album plus she's BEYONCE, we shouldn't doubt her lol
mellenthin Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 (edited) Not every single Gaga avi in here talking big after whatever Chromatica was Embarrassing. This is cute. First time in a minute Beyoncé has me interested artistically. Edited June 21, 2022 by mellenthin
Paola Bracho Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I don't love it, i dont dislike it. I m not into house but it gave me a great mood boost this morning. I know that once she hits her leg on the stage she can elevate the song x100. So I m really looking forward for the 1st live performance and of course the video. I m really curious for thw whole direction on this album. I hope it's not full house.
Gwendolyn Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 It sounds like European dance songs from the late 90s, I think it will be a hit in Europe. The song is GREAT!
