well maybe bc they’ve been making and spamming Bey threads every hour since the song was announced :dies:

You don't get to talk sh+t since you're the most unhinged, obsessed Lady Gaga hater. Get the f+ck out, lmfaoo. Go check those Hold My Hand threads you and your crazy ass friends have been updating every 20 minutes since that song dropped.

On repeat now. :wave2:

Love hit, especially the last minute :jonny:

It sounds like a DJ collab rather than a lead single

Also Rihanna would kill it with her magic voice

Other than that , i like it . Im happy the queen is back . Now announce the tour

What…

So uninspired. I’m actually a little shook. Even Used to Know Me is better (I know they don’t have the same sample) and it ain’t touching Sour Candy.

Hmm. I don't love the single, but I think the album is going to be an interesting one.

Freakum Dress played after this and… :deadbanana4: you can guess which one is better and has more substance

I guess it’s fine, but after such a long time and albums like Beyonce and Lemonade? I don’t know

why they went with a song with that overused sample as a lead? it isn’t any better than another songs with it, Sour Candy and Girls Like are more fun, sadly, because it’s Bey’s highly anticipated album

at least I will make a playlist with those songs and pretend it’s a dj mix or one big collab :rip:

Listened a few more times but this ain't getting saved. It's just not the stomp it needs to be. It drones on for quite awhile and that chorus is really quite flat. Quite a few of the lyrics are a bit clunky too.

Like it's been said before in the thread; the track would have been elevated a ton if there was some crescendo in that final section, but it just falls into the same boring "you won't break my soul".

Nonetheless.. there are some nice vibes with that raw house beat during the verses and the subbass that accents a lot of the prechorus, I love that. I hope there are some more actual fully formed deep Chicago/Detroit house cuts on the album. Bey's voice would sound like heaven over that.

I actually enjoyed it, yes it sounds a bit repetitive but i think it's very promising for the album. She's finally fun again and you guys find things to complain.

the GP seems to be loving this. perhaps they don't have the sample burnout that a forum full of gays is going to have

they do!

Oop! I stand corrected.

I just listened to "Show Me Love" for the first time and it's 100000x better.

For starter, it starts like a NORMAL SONG does. I don't know what was Bey thinking with that beginning. The instrumentation is also cleaner. Robin S shows great vocals from the time she opens her mouth. She sings with conviction, not robotic like Mrs. Knowles-Carter.

"SHOW ME LOVE" IS A BOP... :gaycatina1:

This could smash in the UK ??

Idk about the rest of the world though

I'm glad I'm not the only one disappointed.

It definitely sounds uninspired and basic.

ok so as a casual Beyoncé fan I really like the track, it’s so catchy! but I can see why some people would be disappointed after waiting 6(?) years

The way you listened to SML for the first time speaks enough volumes that you should not be judging anything of this genre with your lack of knowledge.

I have ears, thank you. I can judge whatever I want. Who the f-ck do you think you are to tell me what to judge?

Well this is underwhelming :skull:

You can just tell that this isn’t her lane musically….

I’m concerned for the album now

I don’t know why this forum was expecting Bey to release David Guetta EDM when she would NEVER do that sound.

It was always going to be 90s house and that could be a little repetitive and I actually love that it has the same beat throughout. And I LOVE that it sounds like a drag song especially the rap at the bridge. I’m so excited to listen to this in the club.

I actually really like this. I can imagine the clubs eating this up.
