I feeling hate sampling in music.  Who invented that ish?

I get new Beyoncé but it’s not really new

When you hear the first chords of formation, you know you are about to experience something heavy-hitting.

welp … I hope this is indeed a palette cleanser and there’s better on the album

PS: All this hoopla about house music and I never even registered that I don’t care for that genre. I’m black. I need rhythm to dance to, not white-boy-wasted fist pump.

Well this post just says that you don't know ****. And sampling has existed in music since forever. Bey has been doing it for AGES (on Lemonade too :toofunny2:) and it is even more popular in house/dance music.

Yeah, let’s cater to YOU specifically just because you failed to fact check your music history.

hmmm a little underwhelmed tbh

its a cute song to bop to this summer, but wish the song had more punch. its missing some magical vocals which im surprised at from beyonce, thats always her strong suit

I wanted her to play with more of those la la Las in the beginning. She was onto something ethereal there!!!

This kind of ignorance is a perfect example of why Black artists feel the need to box themselves to 1 genre.

You don’t even know your own history and that black people created house music smh.

she did what she had to do! :gaycatina1: i’m more excited to hear the rest of the album tho.

it needed to have been a tiny bit shorter because it starts to get lost around the bridge.

White gen z atrlettes will be waking up in distress this morning. :ahh:. Their whole concept of life and the little knowledge they have about "dance" music was flipped on them like a ton of bricks, and with no warning.

Wow I have never enjoyed Beyoncé's music (like not even one song) but I'm LOVING this!!!! I mean house music is like my main genre so that's probably why but SLAYYYYYYY

What a bop, hope it doesn’t flop :clap3:

She should’ve released the video on the same day and edited it to under 4M to help streaming numbers

I like it. I just can't with some of the lyrics, but it's catchy after a few plays. I wish the energy of the bridge and the last chorus were there in the beginning, too.

Holy FUQ. She ate this tf up

The way I'm going to be drunkenly screaming this next weekend at London Pride! :WAP:

This is okay but for some reason the production feels like it's missing something, like it sounds unfinished. I'm still excited for the album though, her voice really suits this type of music.

This sounds a mess :skull: who mixed this? It has potential but it’s just so noisy especially at the beginning. The vocals don’t mesh with the instrumental? Idk how to explain it just sounds like someone singing over an existing instrumental
