Goofy Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I've never expected her to go this kinda safe. I'm disappointed...
CaptainMusic Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Wow I was NOT expecting this kinda song from Beyoncé! I like it but wish the chorus was stronger. Hope this is a hit for her, especially outside the U.S.

abeille Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 The song is definitely a palate cleanser for the new album, as all her leads since CIL have been. The fact that it's only 1 out of 16 tracks makes me stoked for the rest of Renaissance.
Yomaku Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I was shocked when hearing the first 10 seconds was not expecting this sound but this is not it, the production feels like two different elements colliding with each other (and not complimenting each other) while the chorus does nothing Hopefully the real lead comes later (and better)

I personally don't find it safe for Bey, but she probably chose the most accessible song on the album as the lead. And its introducing the theme which is celebration and release and joy
abeille Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 The .wav lossless version from her website is BY FAR the best in quality. Literally eargasmic

Go purchase: https://shop.beyonce.com Omg! It totally does! The big Freda part isn’t as obnoxious, the beat us a lot more clear and prominent. Plus her vocals really roar and soar. The little grunts on “break” really pop more. Plus the background vocals are more heavenly, especially the gospel like ones at the end.
orange22 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I gave her a few streams on Spotify but I have to get back over to Apple Music because the quality is so much better (might even look into the website…)

Iyanla, Fix Me Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Omg #1 at TTH she wants that number one. I think the song is cute and will grow on me.
brooklyndaddy Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 It sounds cheap and disjointed bey wtf is this. Sounds like an Ava Max or Mabel song
Sergi91 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I like it but it’s no Partition it just needs to grow on me. two things I don’t like is how long and repetitive the song is I hope we also get a radio edit or even cool remixes.

The song’s production is in no shape or form expensive no live instrumentation, no complex structure or layering, not much songwriting. But it doesn’t try to be. The vocal production is where the money is at, it’s LUSH.
abeille Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 She posted the song's artwork on her Instagram finally
