It gets better every listen, this is perfect for the gay clubs!

This was kinda disappointing. I like that she’s doing pop again but this is a tired beat and the lyrics are too repetitive. Hopefully the video makes it better

You wish, lmao. Nobody will ever release a song near as awful as that. This is an excellent song. Not even close

This is such a filler song

She could have made ao much better with this sound

BIG FREEDIA GETS ME SO HYPED

Alright, this is what I'm gonna be listening for the following week or so nonstop, I fear

This kind of weak, sounds like a dj collab

It's a bit too artistic and not a plastic cheap radio filler so I pray the GP gets into it (yuh)

But wow, what a song! What a comeback! For me, I REALLY needed to hear this dance escapist perfection!!

Dont discount the vocal layering that really keeps this a Bey track. Her voice fits so well with 90s house.

I can hear the simailrity with Swish Swish in the production but thats about it. SS is also one of the KP songs I like lol

This also feels more authentic and I think freedia has a lot to do with that

this would be better if it's shorter :lakitu:

ok hear me out she’s so smart

its very clear the song gets much better after a couple listens, i think it’s good that she didn’t release the video right away so that people have time to get used to the sound, and the people who don’t will be sold with the video………. kinda genius

The second half of the song is a collapse :WAP:

yeah that's pretty much the only thing that doesnt fully click with me, and that really took me out on my first listen. She couldve easily fixed it by changing the pronouns and making it a third person song like 6 Inch. Like I know she's trying to be relateable but she's been a celebrity for 25 years noone's gonna believe it when she sings she works 9 to 5 :biblio:

I don’t think it’s that deep? It’s a pop song with a message meant to be something everyone can relate to.

Yeah, it made me laugh too, but I think the whole generic message of "I'm tired of my life and my job and just want to dance and forget about everything tonight" fits the whole throwback feel of the song, and I assume that's what she was going for.

It's trash.

Hopefully the album isn't full of songs like this with cheap instrumentals

THIS IS ON REPEAT :jonny:

I am so ready for this album

I was expecting way more from this song if it's the first single but I like it, I love the lyrics and it's got a nice beat, perhaps it's missing a bigger punch but I like, it's really catchy.

It's good. Idk about first single material but it's good. I'm sure it'll grow on me. Excited for the album nonetheless!

The instrumentals during the bridge are my favorite part of the song, they go OFF

It's very Future Nostalgia esque in that respect. She mentioned in the Elle interview from last year that this is what she was going for. She saw the people's critiques with the "negro spiritual" music and did exactly the opposite.
