Zylo Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I was a bit worried but I was pleased by the time the song ended. It’s so camp and feels classic and kinda reminiscent of music some years back. It’s almost got this nostalgic feel to it. Only Bey could get away with 4 verses ending in ‘outside’, back to back though
Somnambulist Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Maybe this sound can finally bring the Hive and Monsters together- Bey could even make an appearance at the Chromatica Ball and it would fit the theme and everything- a collapse if that happened
CovalentBondage Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Usually she's the trend setter. This is not original or fresh. But I love it and will bop to it at the gym.
_Fey Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 It absolutely does sound like it was made to be blasted during Pride and I can definitely see it becoming a Pride staple.
swissman Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I can't at people saying the song is too long..... lol.... have you ever listened to actual dance music? I don't mean music to dance to on tik-tok...

bync Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 on third listen and it’s growing……. first listen was a mess ill report back
Proseductice Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 love her but i see this being overplayed at malls this entire summer already
Wondy Lust Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 After listening to the official, the bridge, prechorus, and outro are my favourite parts. But yeah, still not really hooked on it sadly. Will have to give it a few more listens
State of Grace. Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 The lyric video needs a warning my poor eyes omg
Jooj Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Oh this sucks. Bad lyrics, no hook, dull melodies, nothing really worthy here. If it's really the lead single (as in getting tons of investment and a MV) then it's one of her biggest mistakes, this song is a 3 at best. Hopefully the album is better.
Witchpop Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I feel like if this was released by any other artist it would be DRAGGED to hell. It’s okay. Not the best, not the worst.

I don't think she's trying to set any trends she's trying to bring back an era/style/concept in music...
EdgeofTeeth Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I actually like how campy this is, a nice change after almost a decade of her taking herself way too seriously
abeille Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 She knew what she was doing releasing this during pride month we are not worthy MOTHA!!!
Harry Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 i feel like what bothers me is the "you won't break my soul" part is sang in too low a key vs her comfort range she sounds restricted there and i can't feel the energy from her. just a thought
aisha Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 It kind of reminds me of Dua Lipa's music but i like it. The actual house music

She hasn’t exactly been a trend setter musically. Everything else however, she has. Work ethic, performance skills, vocal range, release strategies, visuals — all very centric to her impact and legacy.
romas_ld Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I love it actually! why’s it up on YouTube but Spotify?
Breathe On Moi Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 IM SOLD I UNDERSTAND THE VISION THIS LITERALLY BECOMES HYPNOTIZING AFTER THE 3RD LISTEN IM TELLING EVERYBODYYYTT
discreetinside Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Yeah the UK and Europe GPs are gonna eat this up
Mohit Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Sounds like a Swedish house mafia reject...i hope the whole album is not like this and each track is unique.. Wanted her return to proper pop music but she is bringing back this dated sound from 100 years ago
satellites.™ Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Wait a minute, this has me bopping at Walgreens without trying.
aisha Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 But i was expecting a loud vocal on this track. And yeah i agree it was bit too long and that "you won't break my soul" is kinda repetitive but i really like it
