I don't really care if it falls, as long as it's top 10

There's no notable difference between a #7 to #10

If it was top 5, then maybe you'd have a point

My BeyHive brethren, this is not the right mindset to have. But that’s your opinion.

It's going Top 5 during album release week bookmark. An increase in streams + promo + MV + peaking on radio are creating the perfect storm for a Top 5 maybe even #1

Even if it remains in the Top 10, the point is to not let the song fall this week at all.

I understand and know ALL of that. What I am saying is based on my focus on the current climate of the chart and songs that were released today. There aren’t any new song releases from major artists this week. There are a couple songs in the Top 15 that can creep into the Top 10 after this tracking week, which can result in Break My Soul falling a couple spots. That can be avoided if people don’t wait until album release week to buy the Instrumental & A Capella. My focus is not allowing the song to drop at all.

This was not what you were saying initially. And even if this is the case, the most effective method for a higher peak is during album release week. Where we can maximize our buying power. We can only buy once on iTunes, all those sales that would be beneficial for album release week is now gone. But it is what it is at this point.

This is the goal and if we work SMARTER not, HARDER, I think a no.1 is within reach.

It doesn’t matter if the song falls for a week :deadbanana2:

People just need to buy and stream the song during the tracking week starting on July 29 and get it enough points to go #1.

Whether it’s #5 or #50 on the chart next week, the amount of streams and sales + radio it needs during the tracking week starting on July 29 to be #1 the week after won’t change. Your focus is pointless because a drop will not affect the week after if everyone buys and streams like they plan to during album release week anyway.

You can buy and stream all you want this week if you don’t want it to drop but I will be saving all my efforts for July 29 — August 4 when it has the best chance at accumulating the most chart points.

We’re suppose to go hard and want the best for Bey. I believe if Bey wanted the Instrumental and A Capella to be purchased mainly during the album release week, she would’ve released it during that week.

You might remember to purchase the Instrumental and A Capella during the album release, but a lot of people will forget because they will be so captivated with the album and visuals.

I never understood the Hot 100 until this debate. :nicole:

It is what I initially said. I just didn’t say what my focus was. In clear English:

I wouldn’t be so sure this a good idea. Buying this week will help stabilize the song at #7 (its predicted chart position when revealed by Billboard on Monday) the following week or push the song higher up the chart. People won’t have to go as hard during album release week to try to get the song to reach #1.

It’s recommended to buy this week and not wait until the next tracking week. The song could fall a position or two if we wait and we won’t have to go as hard during the album release week to get it to reach #1.

Again, what I said was based off the current climate of the chart and not letting the song fall.

This is the same woman who released BMS on a Tuesday and had Formation unlisted for months…

We live in a recession and as a human being with moderate income i fail to blindly purchase stuff from a BILLIONAIRE multiple times. Sure, I support her the way I can, but im not gonna purchase stuff multiple times just so that Bey has a cute chart run.

Album release week is the week to attack!

You keep saying plain English but then not even realize what you’ve been writing.

“People won't have to go as hard during album release week to try to get the song to reach #1” is completely incorrect because people need to go just as hard starting next Friday regardless of any purchasing efforts this week.

Pushing the song up the chart doesn’t mean you then don’t have to try as hard the next week because it’s already gone up the chart. It’s a reset button each week (minus radio) and I rather buy the song 10 times next week than 10 times this week and 10 times again next week because I would still be contributing the same amount of sales to next week’s tracking week but spending twice the amount of money this week and next week combined for no reason.

Oh but I do realize what I’m writing and saying. A greater amount of the general public will be streaming and buying Break My Soul during the album release week since they will be purchasing and streaming the album. That is why single purchases and streams are always higher during album release weeks. And I stand by what I said. Stans wouldn’t have to go as hard if they didn’t wait regardless of the tracking week reset.

This is so simple. I’m not sure how they’re not getting it. Because there’s no way they understand our point but think their method of buying this week is more effective. Like it’s literally a reset every week.

And that’s understandable. I never said y’all have to purchase multiple times. A good amount of people will. And people purchase multiple copies anyway whether they realize it or not. They’ll buy the single and then buy the album with the same song on the album. Do whatever you want to do. That’s your prerogative. But I personally think people should buy something this week. It doesn’t have to be both the Instrumental and A Capella. It can be one or the other. But that’s my personal opinion.

I just finished a meeting at work and they started playing BMS to adjourn the meeting. A HIT in the streets and the charts!! :jonnycat:

The instrumental is so clean and polished. I'm also living for the acappella version.

Honestly, I think I prefer the a capella and instrumental versions of the song... I think both of them combined really gets rid of the nuances of the song. Both the vocals and production are much more thought out and intricate than what is heard in the original song... Maybe I need to get audiophile headphones or something.

Right. I was so shocked listening to the instrumental because I thought I’d already heard everything there was to hear. But there’s so much in the instrumental that I didn’t even know was there. :deadbanana2:

LOVING the acapella version

I'm not that convinced that a music video is coming album release week :dancehall:

The instrumental is flawless.

And where is that user that told me this is going to be over on the album release week when I said it's going to get a top 5 peak then? I have to laugh. :bibliahh:
