She released a music video for so many random songs from The Gift but this comeback single doesn't get one yet?  :deadbanana2:

The visuals for The Gift came a year after the album was dropped, so that comparison is (hopefully) a stretch

The UK charts are super close right now. A few thousand sales could possibly make the difference between charting at #3 and #7/8.

Beyoncé is currently #5 in the midweeks (#4 AM, #5 Spotify, #6 Amazon & iTunes). Her competitors are all excelling on different platforms, it's tough to call.

No. There’s a difference between low radio play as a result of ageism and low radio play because the material is simply not good, or there being a lack of interest of the artist the GP.

Whenever black artists release something good with radio appeal, it’ll be played. Especially on rhythmic, regardless of the age.

Pharrell still had the biggest radio hit of what seemed of the entire decade, Happy’, when he was 41 years old. Jay-Z had two big radio hits, ‘Holy Grail’ and ‘N****** in Paris’ when he was over 40 years old. Flo Rida had the #1 song on radio with, My House, as he was nearing his 40s. Mariah had another radio hit, ‘Beautiful’, when she was over 40. Don’t get me started on Black artists in their 30s or the genuine support on R&B radio regardless of age.

So no, your statement is false.

You have no idea what you’re talking about

It really doesn't matter all that much. Even if she loses positions this new week and the week after, she's going to certainly increase in 3 weeks during album release and reach a new peak in the UK (potentially aiming for #1), thus preventing her from being out of the charts due to that stupid UK rule

Every song on The Gift received a visual and they were high budget videos and consisted of traveling to African countries and there was very little in return revenue, so perhaps they are being cautious about budgeting for videos this era.

Goodbye Beyonce

It was nice while it lasted

I personally don’t like it when streaming doesn’t match radio. This is what happens, there’s only so much radio can do.

Yet, I came with facts and can still post more that’ll support my statement. You on the other hand are just talking with nothing to back it up. So, until you can come up with something valid to say, be gone ‘ghost’!

This isn't that bad considering it's #33 on Global Spotify.

“Cautious about budgeting” plssssss :dies: Beyoncé’s money is very ******* long. And the label has an endless amount of coins when it comes to her.

Those videos came one whole year after the album already bombed so she knew they'd be no return on investment, plus it was her own money. And most of those videos were filmed in studio, she traveled to Africa like she always does but not just to film those videos. There's little to no correlation to this situation.

OT There were just a couple points between 9 and 11 last predictions so this is what I was expecting.

Other predictions have it at #9 or #10. Radio is looking good so it's likely that it'll spend another week

there is obviously a video already filmed for the song and im quite sure the footage existed at the time of the song’s release as well , she just …. i respect her for attempting to defy the current climate of songs / streaming / radio whatever but long eras don’t exist anymore. the video most def should have been released but i guess she’s waiting for album release week. still it’s not the wisest strategy.

whatever it’s not about the charts anymore. the song is still a banger and i’m sure the album(s) will be flawless as well. i just selfishly want sh*t to move quicker.

Why does everyone say eras don’t last long anymore? If anything I feel like tik tok prolongs it. I hear the same songs over and over. Olivia is still going off the Sour album, same with Billie, etc..

traitor and brutal peaked during the album release week. Sour is also a phenom as far as albums go and Olivia has the benefit of being a new artist. i can’t speak to Billie but i also imagine her album is pretty much done too chart wise. touring is obviously different u can still tour the album for like up to two years after the release but as far as charting goes things peak much quicker now. it’s a product/testament of the instantaneous-ness of the streaming era.

i was speaking from more of a perspective of the song still reaching a higher chart position tho that doesn’t really matter as much. the song is still a hit and such an ear-worm that it will have life long beyond this one month that we’ve had it.

What does global Spotify have to do with the song's performance in the US? :rip:

You mentioned all black men and a woman who is  quadroon (one fourth black). Your comment has little to no merit.

Pretty sure Mary J was nearing 40 when Be Without You was dominating most formats of radio…what they posted does have some truth to it.

this song is such a bop. i personally don't need a MV to enjoy a song.

……she was 34 :rip: Mariah with “We Belong Together” would have been a better example in your argument

Why are people acting like the song is over if it falls to #11 on the Hot 100? Specially when it’s a 2 point difference between #9 - #11. :rip: She’s most likely charting on the top 10 the following week regardless and #11 still outcharts half the singles she put out last decade, let’s not.
