The fact that she said “**** a Friday single release” and chose to release it on the first day of summer. It must be fire. The title makes me think of all the broken souls out there who faced so many challenges but continue to thrive despite everything they've gone through. Like she said on that Bazaar interview last year: “I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible“ and “I worked to heal generational trauma and turned my broken heart into art that would help move culture forward and hopefully live far beyond me. My 30s were about digging deeper”
