I am the first to criticise her team, but I think they fully understand that the sounds on this album are going to cater much better to European audiences than to US audiences, particularly in the UK.

Mind you, aren’t there country songs on this album that might perform better in the US?

The album is going to #1 in the US regardless.

She’s really going to dominate the UK with this album though, I’ll say that without a shadow of a doubt. BMS alone literally sounds as though it was specifically curated for UK audiences :deadbanana2:

Im talking streams, not Followers. Look at Bon Jovi, U2, GunsNRoses - they have all great streams despite their debuts

but i think comparing her to [white] male artists from a completely different genre doesn't quite speak to the ageism specifically in pop.

i don't think rock has that problem, especially as it relates to the consuming of older works. there's even an entire genre, "classic rock" that is dedicated to the promotion and consumption of older rock songs.

Sis what… I’m just saying the UK girlies eat this sound up. I know it has New Orleans bounce and gospel influences.

Also people from New Orleans literally sound British to me anyway I’ll be honest with you :rip: Big Freedia sounds like she’s from London to me lol

and Beyonce has more monthly listeners than all of them...so i'm confused on whats so better & extraordinary about what those groups are doing??

More people are listening to Beyonce's full catalogue....not just a select few big songs.

Im just comparing her to them because of the Statement "do you remember who smashed cassette sales back then?" alluding to the fact that Beys recurrent streams are great considering most are listening to ITunes or their CDs, which I call bs..most people switched their platforms and despite owning these products would now use streaming services.

Beys fanbase is not 60-70 year olds, but 20-40 year olds mostly

The streams, in the US in particular, are bad. I had hoped she could have at least increased to +3M.

I can't even imagine the drop when it comes off TTH if they don't do anything soon.

No video, no performance, no promo :rip:

I'm starting to think the video is going to come with the album's film or whatever she's doing this go around; the same way she did videos for all The Gift songs on Black is King.

Posted

if nothing comes out by friday this song’s momentum will experience a steep decline.

She likes a film and if you guys seen Black Is King on Disney+ you know she makes it works.

I feel like even if there is a video, its gonna be a seamless thing and we will may get the piece of it sooner than the album.

This is what I want to do to Bey and her team:

She could've secured a #1 if she dropped the video but it's clear that aint happening.

Still BOPPING and STREAMING though

If the video doesn’t come by this weekend it will actually start to get ugly. She can’t just do nothing, lmao.

They're not bad yet overall.

Just mediocre since the song is technically only one week old. Even though we're now in its 2nd tracking week

Next week(3rd tracking) should still be over 10 million US streams

Janet and Katy already been seen bopping to BMS today. And Cardi has already tweeted about it. The way Bey’s strategy for promo is to call in a favour from all the people she wished Happy Birthday to. She’s been planning this for years. Over the next few weeks she’ll have hundreds of celebrities promoting it. A genius.

We're going into delusional territory....I'm with it. SOMETHING must be bigger at work here.
