They’d waited so long to tear her down when we said “wait for her next solo effort before claiming she’s over” and they’d already made up the narrative before Renaissance even got announced so now she’s earned the biggest female solo debut of the year and been surprisingly global (and smashing on other platforms too) they’re just going to stick to “she’s over!!!” anyway The video week will be a kii. Regarding this as the first single, it actually now makes sense to me. I feel like if she opened with an incredible melodic & innovative dance track, then released Break My Soul as a later single, people would probably see BMS as a regression & it'll miss out on the huge potential I now see it has.
