Aren’t fans beginning to receive their vinyls in the US?

The Collector's Edition don't ship until October. They will be stocked everywhere.

Everyone who purchased the Limited Edition vinyl has received them already.

Were her vinyl sales low? Just surprising to me considering I’d expect her to get a big boost once physical copies were shipped out and received.

They were never able to get enough vinyls made as there is a backlog. She's sold out her Limited Edition completely (26k).

It's not October yet so there won't be a boost till then. The vinyls have to be stocked and delivered.

Amazon for some reason shipped out a small batch last week when they were supposed to ship in October. Amazon has then now to ship next Friday with her site not having a set day yet, but regardless it'll be available everywhere so it will give her stability for her pure sales.

I’m so hardwired to associate vocals of artists like Charli XCX with hyperpop tracks like All Up In Your Mind I had to check myself and try and give Bey a chance upon repeated listens. I still can’t help but feel like I’d prefer a different vocal aesthetic and based on what I’ve read and seen I’m not the only one.

There’s a lot to unpack here in terms of pop politics but after watching dozens of reviews I have noticed that other than black gay men and black lesbians a lot of black reviewers have picked it as their least favorite track and a lot of white reviewers (that aren’t just gay) and are audiophiles have instantly made Charli and Sophie references. This is all anecdotal, but I’ve taken in enough reviews (written and video) now on that track to draw some loose conclusions.

The discourse from some of the Hive I’ve read online immediately pouncing on anyone that’s implied they’d prefer someone else with “black people can do hyperpop too omgz11!11” has been really…unhealthy. Again, just a few, no broad brush, but it gets outsized attention.

In their (and my) defense I’d also be fascinated to hear it sung from someone like Santigold.

Also can’t help but wish Bey did lean into the political on America Has a Problem as opposed to shifting gears straight into the mafia don metaphors. Maybe that’s for the next series installment.

I realize it’s a damned if she does damned if she doesn’t scenario in terms of the usual thinkpieces she’d get in response similar to the reasons why she doesn’t really do interviews anymore but that’s a separate conversation.

Lots more to say later but that’s what’s front of mind for me.

That is funny. I never thought of AUIYM as a hyper pop track but I don’t listen to the genre so who knows.

i loved it. It gave me very electronic-influenced r&b and that’s why i loved it :rip:

I love love the dark vibe of AUIYM, it’s probably my most anticipated video.

The fact she literally put the top 3 songs of HER CAREER at the heart of her best album ever so even dumb Hive could get it is just....... WOW

I will NEVER forget the feeling of hearing God's Groove for the first time

I def fear the possibility that Act II is indeed a new album, but Act III is the visuals for everything. Wouldn't be th eend of the world

IDK exactly what you mean, but while Act II is def pretty clear, III is still just probable speculation that is is indeed THREE full/unique ALBUMS. Unless I missed something (possible)

I hope you come back to expand on this because I think it’s definitely a good topic for discourse on this site in particular.
