It helps boost the overall performance of the album, so a Friday release always makes the most sense.

I'm still so obsessed with this album. Top 3 lately is Cuff It, Alien Superstar and Energy. It definitely became my second favorite Bey album after DIL (that one will always be #1 for me), the replay value of it is even higher than ST tbh.

Thique 2:00 to 2:20 is the best 20 seconds on the album. And that transition into All Up In Your Mind (which is a masterpiece in itself), whew

Saturday makes more sense if it's a full length film on Netflix. It makes it more of an event and people gather for the premiere which is much harder to do at midnight on a Friday or after people worked all day.
