God tier tracks

These are just perfection from start to finish and I have no reservations about that.

  • Cuff It
  • Energy (those beat switches alone)
  • Virgo's Groove
  • THIQUE
  • Pure/Honey
  • Summer Renaissance

Almost perfect:

  • Alien Superstar
    • the more I listen to it, the more the spoken-word section reminds me of Ghost
  • Break My Soul
    • probably the least varied production of all the tracks, Energy included but still a bop.
  • Plastic Off the Sofa
    • This would be God tier, but the fact that VG follows it kinda dwarfs its impact. 2:15 onward almost saves it. VG usurps it on every damn level
  • Move (that outro, though)
  • Heated
  • Church Girl

Skip

  • I'm That Girl
    • Perfect album opener but I don't catch myself listening to this on its own unless I plan to run through the entire album
  • All Up In Your Mind
    • I appreciate what she's doing but it's not my vibe, as much as I've tried to get into it
  • America Has A Problem
    • Same as AUIYM though I appreciate the instrumentals more

Pretty confident this is my final assessment. I;m generally happy with a holy trinity of tracks on any album but hell 6 tracks + 6 more that would be the highlight on any other album is a crazy achievement for my tastes.

The vocals at the end of POTS & VG are INSANE:deadbanana4: Like I was gagged from first listen, but for some reason they're just DOGWALKING me today :wanda:

I can’t stop listening to this, she really tops herself every era & proves she’s on her own caliber :clap3:AHAP, AUIYM & AS are my personal trinity

After the celebrations of this album in the clubs last weekend, I took a step back from this because I did not want the opinions of others to cloud my judgment, and I likewise did not want my deep devotion to Beyoncé as a star to influence my opinions of this record. This time last week there was no outlet where I could escape, but things have died down to a point where I am reminded of the album's popularity, but I can scroll past probably five tweets before being reminded. I gave it a spin last night... and it is hitting better than it did during the first week when hype was high like a drug. What an artist, what a star...

Virgos Groove is like a black widows sex call before she completely murders a guy.

It makes me sad that AHAP isn’t getting much love on streaming. Maybe it’ll be a late bloomer

Maybe her best rap performance ever?? And it’s giving STORY. Everyone say thank you Shawn :gaycat2:

Hot Take: As of today, for me, Summer Renaissance is my least favorite song in the album.

Party if it feel a bit goofy but the other part feels top tier! The sample it uses is so icon it almost takes me out of the rest of the song.

Omg Miss Bailey ******* did that…. Those low notes are so pretty, and she sounds so much like Bey in some parts!

1:30 in Thique is a perfect example of an actual situation in which a stadium would not have the power to facilitate the show. I do want to see what will happen though, blacking out Soldier Field would be iconique.

She missed a few steps on some of those runs but very nice

The Queen really did what needed to be done! Family Guy Reaction GIF

Question… Do you think she’s going to do a tour dedicated to just Renaissance or will we have to wait for act ii, and act iii to have like some sort of trilogy tour? And how long do you think the wait in between projects will be lol these are the questions that keep me up at night ?

I think Cozy > Alien Superstar > Cuff It > Energy > Break My Soul > Church Girls is one of the best sequences of songs in an album I’ve ever heard

I have to agree! It’s punch after punch!

It’s everything. No shade to I’m That Girl or Plastic Off the sofa, but they’re not 10/10s like tracks 2 through 7. Lol.

i will say besides Plastic, Virgo through Heated is also 10s across the board too.

Also agree with this! But I think Virgos Groove through Thique is the next best flow.

Since Bey restocked the merch today, I snagged the Thique shirt. I pray these shirts are better quality than the box set ones. (They should since they’re more expensive lol)

I listen to ITG because I like the moment when the beat drops right into "Cozy"...it just makes it more powerful then when I select "Cozy" first
