Just a Gay on ATRL Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 I think Cozy > Alien Superstar > Cuff It > Energy > Break My Soul > Church Girls is one of the best sequences of songs in an album I’ve ever heard

*-ChriZ-* Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Not Bey about to have all 16 songs chart within the Top50 while also having the #1 song of the week after those 98-out jokes for a year. Karma truly does keep its receipts
Haus Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 It must be said that she knew what she was doing with this album title. Not only does she blatantly name it after one of the most important time periods in all of humanity, it’s in all caps to further capture attention. In terms of albums as artifacts, this reminds me of Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides and Pop 2. The titles don’t necessarily describe the content—though they do—but draw your interest through wordplay. And the other common thread, of course, is that the shared content between the three is very forward-thinking and acclaimed. I think this era is fully intended to fossilize her legacy, and the legacies of everyone involved with the project and the genres it spans. She’s signaling to those in the future that this is IT, and it could very well be one of the last extremely successful pop music projects if the country/world keeps spiraling like this. Anyway, Spotify just glitched during Thique -> All Up and paused, landing on Plastic and disrupting my creative process

I screamed… and yes, you must, it’s actually dispensary day and this is the perfect length for my walk. This past week has been Renaissance on loop, Bose on charge, premium live resin cartridges, and pontification on the implications of all this. With philosophy and American history finals in the background. Former aced! Latter in the making. Thank you Beyoncé. (I literally credited her to my professor.)

Thank you I have no idea where I will be when the tour rolls around but I really hope she does an early entry pit. My last concert was Charli in 2019 and I’ve already seen most of my faves so it’s time to save for the big one.

Haus Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Also, have y’all noticed that no one has used the *** in this discussion? Which is filler. There is none!
