Ibrahim Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 (edited) What kind of harmony is she using for Pure/Honey? It's like it's melted in a way and there's something so addictive about it but I have no idea what it's called. It's right here at 2:18: Edited August 4, 2022 by Ibrahim
Bears01 Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Sumner Renaissance is still the best song on the album. I said what I said Listening to Heated right now, and I didn’t like it at all, but it’s growing on me now! I still just can’t stop hearing It as a Drake song
MrPiggyMoka Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Top 5: 1. Virgo's Groove 2. Move 3. Heated 4. Cuff It 5. Alien Superstar Did i lie?

Shelter Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Do you think she will get Grace in the video for Move?

Space&Time Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 The way every song deserves a Grammy! The way she deserves a clean sweep and to win the most Grammy’s in one night by a female artist/or Artist period!

Blade Runner Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 I can't get over Summer Renaissance. What a masterpiece, my GAWD. I literally have to take breaks or else I'm gonna get sick of it.

One of the major fascinations I have with Renaissance is the stacks and layers she uses. What kind of harmonies, where she stacks her vocals - sometimes using harmony by itself or with the lead vocal to envelope it. The placement and arrangements are all crazy and never standout in a way that takes away from the track. One of my previous beefs with Beyonce in her very early career was her seeming reliance on random-ass riffs that didn't seem to elevate the music. But her journey and growth are so evident from every album where you can hear that it's not that she's only learning to hone her skills but she's mastering them and freely playing with them in such a skillful way where it's both academic and fun. One of the things she uses a lot is horns, and she'd use them pretty overtly that often pulled me out of her tracks. But she's never stopped using them and her application of them has only gotten better, more integral, and more her stylistically that's it's really undeniably part of her soundscape. I guess TL;DR - there's a clear trajectory of growth on her albums and it's nice to see someone winning and constantly improving their craft and beating already high expectations. This album is so chaotically cohesive. It's really a musical moment.

_Fey Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Dbdjddj tbh this reinforces something a friend and I have been saying the last week, how this album low-key has a lot of comedy and humour sprinkled throughout. She's being very tongue in cheek this era.
Lovett Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 I was literally about to go to sleep and went to check Insta before doing so, saw she posted a story and turned my laptop on SO fast for... that. I'm absolutely howling. She's so annoying.
