This what elevates the song, as well as the" Uncle Johnny" she repeats in the background during the verses. 

Otherwise it would have been just a Drake's song with great vocals.

You're not wrong; those elements are an album highlight for me, so I consider them integral to the song. Having said that, the entire thing is a bop and it remains firmly in my top five.
