I love how she manages to combine experimentalism, warmth, darkness and attitude all into one soundscape on this album.

The most commonly cited figure I've seen for Adele is 137 countries.

I believe the 137 countries is for iTunes, not Apple Music.

I don't understand why they chose SR, of all tracks in the album, to be on TTH? COZY, CUFF IT, THIQUE or even VIRGO'S GROOVE is literally there. :biblio:

Because it's the greatest song shes ever put out :gaycat5: :gayoncecat1:

The second part of Pure/honey - can someone extend that and make like a 5+ min version because THAT is the moment!

I’m sorry but Pure eats it up. It’s like I’m running late to my flight to Milan in my vintage Mercedes and my Cavalier I No. 96 bag just burst open in the car and I’m frantically trying to get it together, and I smell like cigarette smoke and Tom Ford :dies:

Interesting. Hopefully the Twitter accounts won't be running around saying she's achieved more countries without verifying it though. :toofunny3:

Here's how each album track held up in the USA and outside of the USA on Spotify. Summer Renaissance of course had the smallest drop since it's on TTH. The picture will become clearer in the coming days, but do you agree with the GP so far? :gaycat: Apparently Alien Superstar is doing well on AM, potential single?

Thank god I'm seeing some more ENERGY love. It's my favourite song on the album. And no it doesn't matter to me that it's only 2 minutes long. It has sooooo much replay value. :jonny5:

the "make it rain...energy" part alone makes it SOTY :jonny:

It's the way that Alien Superstar and CHURCH GIRL has been stuck in my head today :lakitu: I've literally been singing it to myself like the gems they are... agh, her mind.

Didn't know this was already released in full. I wasn't sold on Break My Soul because it was too safe for my tastes but in the context of the whole album - Jesus. I'm not done yet but going through this track consecutively and the seamless blend of tracks, Cozy, Alien Superstar, Cuff It, Energy, and Break My Soul are all just non-stop bops. And Energy bleeding into Break My Soul makes a lot of sonic sense. The variety and her attitudinal exploration with her vocal delivery is interwoven in this chaotic way that sound genuinely fun for her to act out. You can hear the fun she's having with these tracks and it really translates through.

So far haven't really felt I'm That Girl and Church sounds like that start of the album slowing down possibly.

The fact that she managed to conceal so many statements on the album is incredible. I never noticed she was describing the pride flag in Cozy.

at this point the only song i don’t connect with is Cozy … it just doesn’t really do anything for me. perfectly fine but in an album of no skips it’s the one i would be inclined to skip. i had the same feeling about Heated but that one got stuck in my head today and now i luv it. i’m also not in LOVE with Church Girl or Plastic off the Sofa, the former is a lil too similar to Get Me Bodied (which outsold) and the latter which is basically just a Sabrina Claudio demo (that Bey has some mind blowing runs on)

this is her best album. no question. the detail that went into this is insane. the background vocals alone are just ……… she really blew it out of the f*cking water. what i love even more is that this album doesn’t seem like an attempt to endear Beyoncé to anyone who doesn’t already stan her but it seems to be having that effect anyway. i have more than a couple friends who think Beyoncé is overrated who have admitted they love this album and that it’s finally the thing that made them appreciate her. if anything, my some of hardcore Beyoncé stan friends have said this one isn’t for them , but she has such a vast backcatalogue of things they can listen to anyway and there’s potentially two more albums coming.

Break My Soul is her best lead single. period. she released that song right when the world was going to **** and right before Pride she knew EXACTLY what she was doing.

the best songs are: I’m That Girl (yes she is), Alien Superstar (could have been weirder but she did what needed to be done), Cuff It (i was meh on it at first but the joy that radiates from that song is sublime), Virgo’s Groove (a masterpiece), Thique (i was simply not ready for this one), All Up in Your Mind (Beyoncé and AG cook ??? my *** dreams realized), America Has a Problem (this beat is exactly what i was wanting from this album), Pure/Honey (the *** jumped out), and Summer Renaissance (Bey singing I Feel Love was a spiritual experience the first time i heard it)

the second half of the album is vastly superior to an album that’s first half was already scalp’d worthy.

15/10. end review.
