Daydream Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 The ending of VIRGO’S GROOVE gets me every time. The whole song is a trip. You think it can’t get any better and then she takes it to a completely different place. A career highlight. Not surprised it’s the song Pitchfork chose for BNM.

The response has been great across the board, they get to have their opinion though. I couldn't get into the Chromatica comparison though because I never listened to that album no, im not trying to trigger anyone, i just love music and in general comment on various music releases. i said this because beyonce fans would report/attack for literally even neutral statements.
josesuxx Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 VIRGO'S GROOVE is such a ******* journey she's insane

Daydream Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 This is 100% her best sequenced album. You can tell that ever since 4 she’s become more conscious of sequencing, since she realised the original tracklisting of 4 was a mess e.g. RTW as the album closer instead of I Was Here, but she fixed it on the repacked version. Then BEYONCÉ and Lemonade were improvements but still a bit messy at some parts (i.e. Formation being the closer when All Night was right there). But she’s hit the nail on the head this time and even taken it to the next level with the transitions and referencing other songs in different parts of the album. It makes the experience so much better.
TalkThatRihanna Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 This keeps getting better with every listen, an album My favorite transition has to be Energy -> BMS, the way you slowly start to hear Big Freedia yelling Cozy or Heated should be the next single Also interesting that she’s holding onto the visuals to make the era last longer, since ST & Lemonade had the entire era in a day essentially

Into The Void Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 The more I listen the more it starts to serve

Female producers - I really wish she’d drop a video for BMS! These long form films doesn’t seem to really do well. People’s attention spans are getting so low!

I guess that could only mean that B is doing that good lately for them to increase their hate/embarrassment level

Pure/Honey is in the realm of Kitty Kat/Suga Mama and Bday era sounds.
Babydoll. Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 the cuff it -> energy moment is still ******* me up lol. anyway my fave thing about this album is that despite all the wild sounds and chord changes and production value the solid through-line is her VOICE. rapping or singing she really holds this thing together. i love listening to a VOCALIST!
