Parts of Alien Superstar, the second half of Energy, the opening of Thique, the entirety of America Has A Problem and the hard hitting moment in Summer Renaissance. I can’t explain it both they all sound like I’d hear it in a level

I feel exactly the same way, I've been a big fan of some of the eras but overhyping everything makes the listening experience underwhelming, like everyone saying this is the album of the year sets the bar way too high, I feel the GP perceives this too

Yeah, WYP? is one of my fave albums ever, but since Bey said she was inspired by dance music pioneers and all I felt like my comparison might have been a bit misplaced. It was just something I picked up while listening to the album and it's making me like it even more.
