I'm refusing to listen to the album until it comes out on Tidal.

Can people in here tell me how does it compare to Beyoncé and Lemonade in terms of quality?

It’s a lot more coherent in sound than Lemonade (which is obv the intention) and despite loving what Lemonade was doing this is just a much easier listen and bop heavy.

It’s more ST than Lem, think the sexy moments of that with pounding beats and immaculate production.

She didn’t miss, this has quality and a bit of every era of Beyoncé sprinkled in there somewhere with a bit of new too. It’s mostly upbeat and fast but she switches it up within the song. It feels like it has the same artistic touch her last two albums had but just with dance music.

I think my favorites are Cozy, Alien Superstar, Virgo’s Groove, and Thique. But almost every song is strong :flame:

If I loved Break My Soul, what other songs will I love? Any radio hits?

:jonnycat:

The whole album :jonny2:

BMS is the only commercial song anyway.

Her harmonies are just sooo whole when she utilize all her registers all at once. It gives you a full spectrum of tones in one MOMENT in time :jonny6:

Virgo Groove is such.. a … career defining song. I cannot :jonny: I don’t even care it’s 6 minutes

I agree. I think this is the best she has ever sounded, and she ******* knows it. She barely belt on this record, and focus more on exploring the capabilities of her voice. The pay off is an excellence body of work.

She's exploring her musicality and vocal instrument. We've heard Beyonce running and riffing like never before on this album and it's all I wanted. The other girls would CHOKE and CRACK trying to do these runs.

This is…. utterly chaotic. And brilliant. And like touching, I wanna cry :WAP:

Also 99.9999% sure there is a visual coming. Each song has its own page in the album booklet (I think) so I really think they are shoots from each video like ST :WAP:

Speaking of runs and riffs. I need B and Jazmine to collab!

The album reminds me of a modern version of 4, mixed with ST, mixed with the lion king soundtrack, the bops from lemonade, mixed with everything is love. Basically all bops. On first listen, I prefer this album to all of them.

I can’t get over how much of a euphoric hybrid of DIL and BDay vocally this is.

she sounds so incredible on literally every second of every track.

idk if this would be considered a spoiler since it’s just my own theory so I’ll tag it just in case but…

Spoiler

the consistency of the mention of “category is” through out the album really has me thinking a full body visual concept is so obvious. And that concept is centered around Ballroom.

I wasn’t expecting heated to end like that :WAP:
