It's less up front in second half of the album, but Energy for example feels like a stand alone transition between Cuff It and Break My Soul. Really adds to the trance club-ready experience

On Plastic Off the Sofa she's floating on the track with her head voice & beautiful harmonies, runs... It's the Rocket of the album On Virgo's Groove she does some great runs going on her higher range, then she goes down... It's another where she lets loose vocally On the rest of the tracks (so far) she's restrained & very tasteful with her choices Edited July 27, 2022 by OnlyRealMusic.
arctic-turner Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Lmao it's so obvious some people's idea of dance is just str8 up dance-pop from the 2000s
CovalentBondage Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 A lot of these songs have the same issue as drakes album theres no melodies

BnPac Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 What the hell TG is great. Well if it's in the vein of The Gift, I won. The song I claimed and was most curious about : Virgo's Groove seems to be an RnB track and various of you like it. Another bonus. I'm waiting for Friday.
kandicha Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Why is Energy so short? This one is a stand out for me, it kinda lulled me into a trance. Church Girl started out strong but it sorta lost steam by the end. I could still see it going off in the club. Plastic off the Sofa is so chill compared to the other songs so far on the album, its cute enough but I was still in the mood to dance.
Bears01 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 7 minutes ago, Pop said: First listen impressions: - There is a significant lack of hooks and memorable melodies for a dance album. - Most songs sound the same so it all blends together into one unimpressive blob - Most songs drag on unnecessarily. Most of them could have been 2:30-3:00 but keep dragging on - The Tracklist is also inflated. Many filler moments that could have been cut. - Plastic Off The Sofa and Church Girl are especially bland - The house inspiration is only present in like 2 songs, I expected it to go harder - The only song that I even remember even having a chorus is MOVE. Now I can see why they were forced to choose Break My Soul as first single This is a far cry from 4, Self Titled and Lemonade. Definitely more in the disappointing vein of Everything Is Love and The Gift :( You obsessively troll Beyonce all day on this site, and you expect anyone to take you seriously?
