Gaga’s best song on Chromatica is one of the most clever use of a sample in a long time.  I hope Beyonce delivers the same on a few of her tracks

Part of Bey’s genius is her ability to quite literally executively produce her own projects, drawing on a vast array of cultural and musical references in an attempt to imprint, infuse, and deify the historical subtext; Ultimately creating a body of work that has undoubtable substance and meaning.

which is magnitudes upon magnitudes more consequential than say "deep lyricism" with poor taste. Beyoncé's discography, like Nicki Minaj's, is deceptively simple yet ironically layered so deeply, it trumps those poetic masterpieces with no accompaniment to sound. It's insane how Beyoncé can bring her music 4-dimensionally to life. This is what any artist of any subject/genre should covet and thus strive to accomplish!

Only, we have the literal receipts and acclaim to back it up :skull:

Stop embarrassing yourself and go touch some grass. If you’re not a fan, why are you here?

Do you see me in Lady Gaga album threads? No. Because I don’t find her remotely interesting as an artist. Do I hate her? No. Again, because I don’t find her remotely interesting as an artist.

Except Gaga hadn’t proved herself by the time of ARTPOP since she was still relatively new in the business. Monsters got too cocky too early and it backfired.

That is totally not the same as Beyoncé. She’s been here for 25 years. We know what she’s capable of. :skull:

I love how my post has really wound some of the haters up though :ihype: It really hit a nerve, huh?

That person though they did something with that “so it’s just samples” nonsense and I buried that argument succinctly. Find something else before the album comes out, because that ain’t gonna wash.

Thank god you can edit artwork on Apple Music. I’m gonna alternate between both covers. I.e. track 1 standard cover, track 2 vinyl cover, track 3 standard, track 4 vinyl etc.

FLOPify users lost yet again.

I know I’m going to support this album so much. BMS is totally my kind of vibe plus I’m so happy part of the producers are some of Gaga’s team for Chromatica, which I love.

I just know Bey will deliver magic. Can’t wait for this album.

I wanted to get the RENAISSANCE vinyl but it's literally sold out already on her store and I can't find it on Amazon. I don't know what to do, I want it so badly (I'm from Germany) and while I'm sure it will be restocked, I just don't know if I'm going to make it without waiting weeks or months...

Just ordered the CD at least. :gaycat6:

Maybe they’re just the most talked about but it feels like every song has a sample. I hope there are original beats on the record. It’s ironic that ppl are cynical about her crediting history when she makes sure everyone and their mama is credited on her songs.

Ok I looked it up and Peter Rauhofer was part of “CLUB 69”. This song below also has Kim Cooper (who is also credited for Alien Superstar), so it could be this:

But they have quite a few songs together if you look up “Club 69 Kim Cooper” on YouTube so it could be any one of them. But yeah whatever way you look at it, Alien Superstar is definitely gonna be made for the CLUB. :jonny5:

I think Drama was their most famous song together so it’s probably that.
