Distantconstellation Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) Remove rice, beans, and plantains and you just killed like 70% of the dishes in most latin american countries. Theres isnt variety and different flavors like mexican and peruvian food have. Side note: liking one dish from a country doesnt make their food good. Yeah u like pupusa from el salvador? So what? What else? Name 20 more dishes from that country that are good. This article pretty much sums up what a lot of people think of colombian food https://www.google.com/amp/s/expat-chronicles.com/2014/07/30/colombian-food-worst/amp/ Edited June 14, 2022 by Distantconstellation

THICK and juicy... yeah i know PR is US territory, but it's still Latin America in my eyes lol Edited June 14, 2022 by shinyshimmery

I love mofongos and different sopas from all backgrounds. You’re just showing how uneducated you are narrowing it down to only two countries wtf
Newt Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Arepas, panela, pan de bono, BUNUELOS, etc. are iconic and full of flavor. The author of that article has no taste aldjslaldk
BIAATCH Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) Double post. Sorry Edited June 14, 2022 by BIAATCH
DoubleRainbow! Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 That person in that article really hates Colombia. My mother in law from Colombia used to cook me the simplest yet most delicious and full of flavor meals ever. Their soups are the best.
byzantium Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 From my travel experience, Brazil has far better food than most countries in the world.
Gov Hooka Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Lies. Latin America has got so many dishes that slap
Great808 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Mexican and Peruvian food are indigenous staples as opposed to the other Latin countries so that explains it
venuss Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Colombian food is good but I feel like as opposed to Mexico and Perú, Colombia has not really capitalized on it. Suero alone KILLS any other dipping sauce. And it's super versatile too
fauxtography Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Nah, the worst food is German food like…everything is ROTTED

TeemoR Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Yeah agree, but I also don't like Peruvian food either lol. Mexican food is okay.
KillingYourCareer Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 They heavily use onions (especially raw) which I detest, and I'm not a fan of red meat that's most of the diet of Argentina/Uruguay/southeastern Brazil. But the Caribbean area has a lot of wonderful dishes.
