I have never travelled alone but considering doing a solo trip to New Zealand this year. I’ve been to concerts alone before and it’s fun.

I wouldn't. I enjoy shared experiences and even hiking to a mountain peak isn't the same when you're doing it alone I find

Totally, but normally different parts of North America. Biggest exception is Hong Kong and Thailand. There is the issue of cost, of course. But I would be hesitant if I don’t speak that population’s primary language. Bigger cities are easier than small town.
